"Will Reed was very professional, on time, charged a fair price and went out of his way to help us out so we could move into our bedrooms. I would highly recommend Will as it is very hard today to find a quality carpet installer and someone you would want to work in your home. Will gets a 5 star rating here from us and thanks Will, we appreciate your going out of your way to help us out !!!"

"Very limited in offerings on vinyl flooring and stair carpet. Not much of a selection. It seemed pricey even with the home advisor discount. I prefer to go to a store a view selections and see the prices in front of me. The salesperson worked out prices on her ipad, and phone call to main office, I did not see prices. Price was just quoted and not explained in detail."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of color options to consider when installing carpet in high-traffic areas (like entrances and stairways). Medium-toned colors and patterned carpets can work well in these parts of your home because dirt and stains can blend in easily. Dark carpets will also conceal marks and spills, but they show lint and other light-colored debris. Consider a medium brown or tan for your high-traffic areas. Either way, it’s best to avoid paler shades, like white and cream, which get dirty easily.

If you have a dark carpet and are going for a lighter look, you should replace it, rather than dyeing, since you can only go darker with dye. If your stains are too heavy to mask with carpet dye or the carpet is more than 10 years old, you should also consider replacing it.

Yes, professional installation services often include the removal and disposal of old flooring, which can include materials like carpet. This process may also involve preparing the subfloor for the new installation. It is recommended to confirm the full scope of the service with your provider.

Smaller carpet installations may take less than a day, while full-home installations can take several days. However, your carpet installation timeline will ultimately depend on a few factors, including the number of rooms you’re renovating, the project’s total square footage, and the carpet type. Installation will take longer if your carpet company needs to repair your subfloor or remove old tile flooring.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.
