- Crown Construction IncI had a guy come on Wednesday to give me an estimate for the siding repair work I needed, and since he quoted $180 for the job (he said most likely, assuming it didn't take more than 2 hours), I signed the contract and asked how soon it could be done. He told me sometime within two weeks, but he would try to squeeze me in sooner. The siding guy called me at 8am this morning and asked if he could stop by around 9 or 10 to do the work. I was thrilled! After he worked for a little while, he called me outside to say there was a problem because the spare pieces I had were bent and cracked in several places and that there wasn't enough to do the job. I asked him to just cut off the bad pieces from that and salvage the good pieces from the stuff that fell down and see if there was enough to finish that way. He was able to finish and did an extremely good job with the pieces he had. He was able to get it all done for $180 estimate, which made it even better. He was extremely polite and willing to work with my needs

We had one small issue with a drip on the siding and they were very responsive in coming out in taking care of that. All around they did a fine job. I was very satisfied with them. I would recommend them to anyone

I would have liked them to be a bit more thorough picking up after themselves every day (i.e., I found several nails and/or other sharp objects around the house which is problematic when you have pets). In the end I felt like they were rushing to finish because the job ended up taking longer than expected due to the lead crew member being consistently pulled off the job to cover for another employee with an absenteeism issue

I got a second informal quote from Broomhilda Cleaners, as they were washing our windows after the power washing, and I paid JBK Builders twice what they would have charged for the same job, plus they would have then done the windows afterwards

The awesome part of having him do all these things was that he ended up doing far more than he had promised. I wasn't expecting all the things that he did to make my deck and porch look fantastic. In addition, he even fixed things that he saw needed small repairs without me even asking him to fix them at no extra charge. He paid attention to details and aesthetics. "Excellent! Norb was quick to respond to my request and actually visited my house on same day that I requested a quote. I told him I needed it done in 2 weeks and he was able to fit me in - doing most of the work himself. The result was great - professionally done and looks like it has always been there. He brainstormed some issues like moving electrical switches and replacing floor where a vent had been. Price was reasonable. I would recommend Norb for any home project.
