Curt was fantastic. He was cheerful, energetic, proficient and finished the job in about 15 mins. He was able to do the job a day early and called about that in advance. Curt effortlessly popped the roller back into the track with a turn of the wrist and replaced cables on both sides. He also checked condition on other garage door in 2nd bay. He sprayed lubricant overall. I was delighted. This is my 2nd positive experience with this company and cost was reasonable at $130. I will continue to recommend them for their flawless service. Administrative Assistant was also courteous and knowledgeable when I scheduled appt.

I expected a little more professionalism. When I called the lady just answered the phone "Geis" and that was it. Also trying to schedule a time seemed to take 2 different people which is odd. I had to cancel my appointment due to a scheduling conflict which was all my fault, but they never called back to re-schedule like I asked. Instead I got a call a few days later from a tech saying he was 20 minutes away. This was news to me and luckily I was able to make it work but there just seems to be a communication disconnect. The technician was really nice and did a great job so there is nothing but good things to say about the work itself. However the back office appears to need some work.

The garage door is beautiful and I think the end result will be totally satisfactory, but getting there was a little iffy. The installer said the job was finished, but when he opened the door to show me, I commented on how noisy the opener was, compared to the old one. He didn't think anything was strange, but after investigating I saw that the chain going from the opener to the door was slack and was dragging on the metal rod below it. The installer adjusted different things and after a very long process was finally able to get it fixed. It didn't leave me with a lot of confidence in the installer, but it's working okay now, so hopefully everything else was done right.

Showed up when they said they would.  Did all work as promised.  Neat, workmanlike approach to all aspects of job.  I've used Geis twice previously through the years, also good experiences.  The garage door is one of those conveniences you hate to be without, and they always come through for us without hassle.

The installer arrived right on time and began work immediately.  My old door was removed in no time and a new door and opener was installed in about two and a half hours total time.  And what a nice door and opener.  I can't believe how quiet it operates compared to my old door. Both the door and the opener look very durable and should last a very long time. Thanks to Geis and the installer Kurt for a very pleasant transaction.

We were told that if repairs needed the price would be $90 if just reprograming needed $45 would be the price

We knew the wireless keypad needed reprograming and the opener system worked fine as we could use our remotes

When service man finished reprograming he tried to charge us for repairs that were not done nor needed

When questioned on his price he stated "Oh my Bad" and corrected the price to the $45

I have no trust for the company and will not use them in the future

Geis was able to come out within 2 days.  I was told the morning and serviceman came around 1PM.  They installed a belt drive garage door opener that I had purchased (no existing one to remove).  Their quote was $90/hr for labor with estimated install time of 1.5 to 2 hours.  The serviceman recommended using a single piece steel rail, rather than the segmented one in the garage door kit, as it was more stable and had a longer lifespan.  This was $60, but supposedly saved time on the install, therefore was price neutral.  Install took one hour.  He programmed the remote and wireless keypad and gave advice about garage door maintenance/lube/etc.  Total cost was $150 ($90 for one hour of labor and $60 for the steel rail).  Very satisfied and I would use again.

It all was essentially seamless. Once Marcy and I had decided on the materials and design, a crew came out to measure our old doors, and Marcy was then able to give me a quote. Once I'd signed the contract and put down the deposit, the order was placed, and I was told it would probably be 3 weeks or so before the installation could be done, mainly due to the need to paint the doors. The installation date came in very close to that projection, and all went very well - with the doors being installed in less than a full day. The only glitch was that one of the windows had been cracked at the factory, and I was told about this, being given the option to wait on the installation until the window could be replaced at the factory (roughly a week or two), or to go ahead with the installation as planned, with the guys coming out a couple of weeks later, to replace the cracked window when it became available. We went with the second option, and the window replacement took perhaps 20 minutes two weeks after the initial installation. Our original garage door openers were still functional and working well, so that we did not need to replace the opener; Geis just hooked it up to the new doors. The doors work very well, and look absolutely beautiful, really, I think, enhancing the appearance of our home. The windows also make the garage interior much brighter; I hadn't realized how dark the garage was, before the door replacement.

I called Geis on 9/19/14 to make an appointment for a service technician to come out to fix my garage door. Two rollers kept coming out of the track causing the door to open awkwardly. Made the appointment for 9/23 between noon to 4PM. The technician whose name is Steve called at 2:30 and said he would be at my home in 20 minutes. He was there right on the spot. I explained the problem and he went right to work on it. It took him about a half an hour. He replaced some nuts that were missing off the track and straightened out the track where it was bent so the door could move up and down smoothly. He also said the door overall was in decent shape and did not need to be replaced at this time. I asked him the cost to replace it and he said the range was between $700.00 to $900.00 depending on the type and style of door.

I was very impressed with Steve and the whole experience. Geis Building Products certainly has earned their reputation as an excellent company to work with.

When the time comes for a new door Geis will definitely get my business.

Great job Geis !!
