  I hired David Brooks to do a remodel of our basement. We were looking to do a half finished basement with the potential to do a full bath in the future. David did a great job ironing out the details on what I wanted, offering suggestions and giving me an accurate quote and timeline for the project. As the project progressed he was always communicative on where the project was, what the potential changes we could make and the costs it would incur. He and his crew completely transformed our basement that we will now use as our kids room. I will for sure be using him in the future for any needs and would highly recommend himshow more

  Having my basement floor lowered to accommodated for head clearance, the basement is not a full basement it is a 3/4 high than a normal basement, I had to bend over to avoid hitting my head on the floor Joyce and support beams. So, we decided to have the floor lowered and the wall redone. I had to call the heating company because the heating system was place real tight to the floor Joyce and the old deteriorating floor, most of the floor was turning into sand and also started to get ant hills. The ants eat right through the floor. The floor was breaking up because it was only 2 inch thick, not mixed right and over 20 years old, so it had to be replaced. I consulted a engineer and a basement contractor on what I could to corrected this. They both came up with the same conclusion that the floor had to be redone and it should be at least 4 inches thick with drainage to prevent any water building underneath. The basement contractor informed me that the heating system had to come out or suspended some how so they can get the floor out. So, I called this heating company because they where the ones who put the system in and it is only 6 years old and I did not wanted to void any warranties that the system had and they did a wonderful job on putting it in. I called them and they came over they same day and assessed the situation and recommended to support it to the Joyce with metal straps. I informed them to go a head and they did it that day. This company is a professional and experience people and I am glad I hired them instead of someone elseshow more

  Frank and his team were wonderful. We had a general idea of what we wanted to do in the basement to finish the space, but Frank helped us figure out the best way to get the look and function we wanted. He also was the most reasonably priced of all the contractors we received quotes from. Frank was great about keeping us updated on the project and always confirmed everything with us before doing it. We even adjusted some of our plans mid-project, and Frank quickly changed what we wanted and made very helpful suggestions that helped us get the finished basement we dreamed of.   Jeff and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and removed all the rotted paneling and framing that had deteriorated over the years. They patched the walls and removed the floor tiles then smoothed the floor and painted the walls. The entire basement including all the joists and subflooring was sprayed with mold killer a couple times. Jeff left his industrial dehumidifier with us a few days to give the room a good drying and a decent start for our dehumidifier to maintain. The Nu-Life crew were pleasant to deal with every step of the way and they waste no time on the job. They did a ton of work in a very short time, made sure all openings to the upstairs living spaces were blocked with plastic sheeting while they worked and left no debris during or after the job.   Matt was and his team were amazing! To begin with he responded to my voicemail within 5 minutes and said he would come look at my situation in 1 hour. He was there in the said 1 hour. He looked at the damage I had and said he would leave to go get men and equipment from another job and return in 1.5 hrs. And, again he returned in the promised amount of time. By the end of the afternoon all the wet carpet had been removed, furniture moved and mold discovered. He suggested a mold expert (I had no idea who to call), called him and set it up for him to contact me. Once the mold expert came and did his inspection and issued his report Matt and his team returned and followed the report to safely and appropriately remove all the moldy materials. After that work was done, several days of dehumidifiers running and a follow up onsite review and report by the mold expert giving the all clear Matt and his crew started rebuilding my basement. He had good suggestions and the work was completed to my wishes and satisfaction! I found Matt to be honest, trustworthy and committed to making my finished basement the way I wanted it. He stayed in constant touch via text with me and got back to me quickly answering and questions I had.
