"Had a backup a few days before and wanted to determine if it was a simple clog or cesspool related. They sent out a tech (Jimmy) the same day. He located both cesspools and walked me through my options. He was honest and patient, answering all my questions along the way."

Small jobs welcome

"Jeff came and was very informative on the overall process and probably the best information I have received to date from anyone. He was very thorough and went thru the process he was performing step by step in a way I could understand. Looked at other causes to see if drain was clogged as week and cleaned up all the dirty areas. Would definitely recommend him to all neighbors and family. Great job Jeff. Thanks"

"I hired Nick to repair a faucet. Turned out that it couldn’t be repaired but rather the entire unit had to be replaced. Nick did an excellent job replacing not only the faucet but the drain as well. Very reasonable price. If needed, Nick will be the first plumber I will call."

"A.J the service manager for Speedy Enviormental immediately came out on a Sunday and unclogged the downstairs toilet that had the entire house on stop water usage or flood. The clog was outside the house, towards the Septic tank under the front lawn. He used the commercial auger to pull the tree roots that grew into the septic pipe. He pulled up roots seven times and cleared the line. The next day he came back with a cctv camera to check the line to the septic system and to verify if we had tree roots in the tank. I felt much better after seeing for myself that the line and tank were now clear of roots and the water was freely flowing. I would definitely use AJâ s services again, heâ s very kind and knows his trade."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Chemical drain cleaners can work to clear clogs in pipes, but their use should be approached with caution. These harsh chemicals can damage pipes over time, and they can also harm the environment. Use them sparingly and consider alternative methods such as using a plunger or a drain snake. If you have concerns about a persistent clog, it's best to consult a professional who can safely and effectively address the issue without causing further damage to your plumbing system.

Coke and other sodas do clean a clogged drain, so this is one of those urban myths that has some truth behind it. Coke and similar sodas are caustic and will provide some cleaning power to your drains. However, the power of soda pales in comparison to dedicated cleaners or even baking soda.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

The cost to clean a sewer line is about $370, ranging from about $190 to $550 on average. The specific cleaning method and the problem's severity will impact the project's overall cost. Some of the most common sewer line cleaning methods include:

  • Snaking or rodding: $100–$250

  • Hydrojetting: $350–$600

  • Chemical treatments: $600–$1,000

  • Repair or replacement: $1,000–$7,500

You should inspect and clean your French drain at least once per year to keep it in good working order. Regular maintenance can help identify clogs, buildup, and damage before they become bigger problems, which increases the lifespan of your drain. The frequency with which a drain clogs can depend on factors like the amount of debris, the quality of the installation, and the type of filter used. If your drain accumulates a lot of sediment, it may require more frequent cleaning. It's also a good practice to check the access and exit points after heavy storms. If you notice reduced drainage or any signs of a clog, clean the drain as soon as possible.
