"Chris cleaned the moss and algae from our 13 year old architectural roof, so that it looks almost brand new. He and his brother work side by side to complete the project in a timely manner. They were very professional and kept a neat ship at all times. His mannerism was cautious and careful through-out the entire job. I was skeptical about the power washing at first, but when the job was completed, it made all the difference in the world. I would highly recommend Chris for cleaning your roof."

"I hired Sweeping Beauty LLC to do a move in clean after I bought my home. She did an amazing job, everything was cleaned beautifully and the house smelled amazing. We finally felt ready to move in thanks to how well everything was cleaned! I would 100% recommend them as well as hire again in the future for any cleaning I need done!"

Small jobs welcome

"Alic , owner of AEL serviced my subzero and LG Chrome washer. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable on both. He answered my call the same day and a date and time for his visit was established. He ran 30 min late but called to explain why and when he would be at my home. Very professional and completed his work while telling me exactly what he needed to do. I will definitely use Alic for all of my appliances repairs. Very pleased with his work."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Apartment kitchens and bathrooms take the longest to clean. Bacteria and other dirt build up the fastest in these wet areas. They need more attention to ensure they remain clean and sanitary. If your apartment has two bathrooms, expect to pay a premium for professional cleaning.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends using an EPA-registered disinfectant product to disinfect a house properly. If such a product isn't handy, a strong bleach solution can disinfect high-touch surfaces. Before hiring a professional, be sure to discuss the type of chemicals and disinfectants they plan to use to ensure they’re safe for household use.

Whether or not a cleaner brings supplies also depends on their preference. Some cleaning services require the homeowner to supply cleaning products and a few basic materials (sponges, paper towels, rags, a mop, and vacuum, for example), but others bring everything they need to get in, clean, and get out.

You can always ask whether or not they bring their cleaning supplies, and if so, make sure you’re comfortable with what they use. If you prefer organic or natural products, for example, you may need to supply them or pay a premium.

Yes, cleaning a crawl space is worth the cost. Although it's an out-of-sight area, neglecting it can lead to significant problems like pest infestations (including termites and carpenter ants), mold, and fungal growth, which can cause structural damage. Regular cleaning helps prevent these issues. While hiring a contractor has ongoing costs, the price for cleaning—typically between $0.50 and $4 per square foot—is much lower than the cost to remediate a pest or mold problem. Additionally, a clean crawl space can lead to improved indoor air quality and more comfortable temperatures in your home.

Putting off cleaning your fridge is a bad idea for a few reasons. For one, any food spills can build up, making it much harder to clean your fridge when you finally do get around to it. Plus, any stray pickle juice or leaky leftovers are a recipe for a stinky fridge.

But beyond that, if you don’t clean your fridge, it could be a health hazard. Old food can turn moldy and old spills can too. Even if none of that scares you, putting off cleaning your fridge will make it look downright gross, which should be reason enough to break out your sponge.
