The crew was nice but many were clearly not experienced. radio was quite loud at times. behind my shed was used as a toilet- i was advised by my neighbor that a man had been peeing back there. crew was critical of employer at times. when billed (over phone) for the last of the work some time later after the snow diverters came off the roof and the mold discovered- i advised i would not pay. did not hear anything for somewhere around a year when i received a written bill, the next day or two i received a collections bill- i advised the above and have heard no more. Wes showed up on time, and although I wasn't really sure what I wanted, Wes was very patient and took his time with me, showing me all the options and explaining the pros and cons. After narrowing it down, he took the measurements for the windows and showed me an estimate on the spot. Wes also informed me of a manufacturer's rebate, and the energy efficiency tax rebate that I would be eligible for with certain products. I told him that I needed some time to think about it, which he was totally okay with, and he sent me the written estimate by email a few days later. I decided to order the window treatments, and Wes put my order in right away. A week or so later, Wes emailed me to let me know that my shades had arrived. Unfortunately, I was not ready to have them installed because I needed to have my windows painted first. Wes was very understanding and patient. A couple of weeks later I received an email from Wes with a friendly reminder about the deadline to submit my invoice for a rebate from Hunter Douglas. I thought this was great of Wes to remind me so that I wouldn't miss out on the rebate! After my windows were painted and ready, I contacted Wes and he immediately arranged a date and time to do the installation. Wes showed up at the arranged time, and the installation went smoothly and quickly. Wes was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to do business with. I would recommend WTI to anyone!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/concord/wti--window-treatment-installation-reviews-193436.htm"},"position":9}]}

Peaceful Valley Painting is fantastic! We had a huge interior painting job that included severely damaged walls, water damage, and removing improperly applied wallpaper. Peaceful Valley not only did a phenomenal job (you would never guess what bad shape the walls were once in now that the job...

I am owner and operator. I've been in the trades my whole working life. I chose painting to be the only skill I've acquired to earn an income almost 30 years ago. I'm a small company, just starting out which allows me to be lower in price than almost everyone else. Quality work for less.

"Clean job, reasonably priced. I appreciate that they made themselves available for additional requests (had more to paint than originally planned, refreshing an older home). Some holes needed spackling and sanding, they're invisible now!"

FAQs for painting projects in Stamford, NY
You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rate cost factors include the complexity of the paint job, the type of paint, the height of the walls and ceiling, and the type of prep and repairs needed. For example, removing wallpaper costs an additional $3 per square foot because it can be very time consuming and labor intensive. Your location will also impact the hour rate.
To estimate the cost to paint interior walls, multiply the square footage by the average price range to paint interior walls, which is $2 to $6 per square foot. For example, a 12-by-12-foot room with 8-foot tall walls is 384 square feet, meaning that the cost to paint the room will range from $768 to $2,304. Painting the ceiling and any trim will add to the overall cost, as will any repairs.
To calculate the square footage of a home exterior, painters multiply the length of the wall by the height of the wall to be painted. Then they add the total square footage for all of the walls to be painted. To calculate the price, they multiply the total square footage by their cost per square foot to prep and paint. Additional costs may factor in such as repairs, additional trim, and walls higher than the first story.
The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
