"I called and my timing must have been perfect. 2 technicians showed up 30 minutes later. They put on shoe covers which I appreciate. They opened up the unit and checked the flame and spark. That must have been enough since the unit started working. They checked to make sure the propane was flowing and cleaned the condensation pan. Within 30 minutes after arriving, they were done. I plan to have them come back in a couple of months to maintain the ductless splits for this summer. What they charge for the service is very reasonable given that I had contacted a competitor and received a quote that more than 2x what I paid."

"From the initial sale to completion, I was very happy with them. I evidently never and quot;completedand quot;: my Angie's List review so this is like two years later.
Unlike some of the other reviews, I received a quote prior to starting the work. The quote was clearly explained to me by the sales rep and given to me in wiriting. I did not pay anything until I approved every detail of their work well after completion.
They arrived on time and were professional and polite. They were not bothered that I was looking over their shoulders the whole time and they patiently explained every step of the process. They also put either runners over my floor or wore the little booties over their shoes.
Now they completely removed my old a/c unit that was no longer operational and also removed my old furnace. Cooney was so quick and clean I never noticed the units gone until I saw the vacant spots. Everything was installed fast.
The techs, whose individual names I cannot remember now but wish I could because they were so nice, took their time and explained every detail of the furnace and a/c unit. I bought the high-end Carrier Infinity model so it had a lot of bells and whistles including the touch screen thermostat.
Since that time I have had them back for two annual inspections (which I would do anyway but they were a part of my warranty agreement) in which I received the same excellent treatment. My daughter handled the firstone and they even explained everything to her in detail.
The last one in September 2014, involved a faulty gas regulator and my furnace was not firing up. They were there within 14 hours and I again, received the same courteous service. The problem was diagnosed and fixed quickly. My annual inspection was rolled into the service call so as to save me a couple dollars that I thought was nice.
I would use them again if I had to and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking such service. I am a single father with two daughters and I do penny pinch but don't mind paying for quality service. That is what I got from Cooney.
Buy with confidence with Cooney.

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

There are a few qualifying questions you should ask a local solar panel company before hiring them:

  • Will you handle permits for the installation?

  • Does your total price include the equipment and labor?

  • How long do you expect the installation process to take?

  • What kind of workmanship warranty do you include with your installations?

  • Who should I contact if I have a problem with my system after installation?

  • Do you install the panels or outsource the work to third parties?

  • Will you file for solar incentives for me?

For most U.S. homeowners, switching to solar energy is an excellent investment. A properly sized solar array can significantly reduce your electric bill, saving money on utilities every month. Most homeowners enjoy savings that cover the cost of their solar systems within 12 years and then turn a profit. Additionally, federal and state tax incentives are available that help make solar an even better and more profitable investment.

There are a few great questions to ask a solar contractor or inspector when you speak to them. You’ll probably want to find out about the energy yield and efficiency of your array, ensuring the actual output matches the amount you calculated when installing the array in the first place. It’s also a good idea to find out about any damage or wear and tear on the array and to inquire about how soon you need to make repairs or replacements to essential components.

  • Installing a new electrical meter box

  • Replacing your meter base

  • Replacing your service entrance cable

The cost to install or upgrade an electrical meter box ranges from $100 to $650, including $50 to $250 for the unit. The meter base passes the power from your electric company to your panel. The cost to replace a meter base is roughly $50 to $250.

Service entrance cables are electrical cables with multiple wires, bringing power from electrical companies to residential buildings. The cost to replace a service entrance cable ranges roughly from $1,000 to $1,500.

The best way to know if your roof can support solar panels is to hire a structural engineer. They’ll look at your roof and approve the design of your solar panel system or suggest changes. The best roofing for solar panels is made from strong materials like asphalt shingles and metal, but tile and gravel will work. Softer materials like thatch or temporary structures are not a good fit.
