"Excellent. The tree roots had grown into the neighbor's fence which made the job more difficult. Raul was mindful of this and took care not to damage the fence. He was on time for the estimate appointment and for the removal of the stump. He is courteous and professional. I recommend him ."

"Xavier and his team did a great job in replacing an existing fence. He removed the old fence and dug-up the posts and then replaced it with an identical cedar picket. Each section had pickets at different heights to form a semi-circle at the top. The job was perfect and nothing to clean-up after. Thank you Xavier!"

Small jobs welcome

"Land and Stone did an amazing job in redoing our front steps, walkway and driveway as well as installing fencing. In addition, Jeff helped navigate a complex permitting process. I highly recommend working with Land and Stone."

"Very responsive and came fast. Made me feel comfortable when they have a price quote. The most reasonable price quote that I got out of 4-5 other quotes. They did an excellent job installing the fence. They made all the right decisions when trouble shooting how to place the fence. The entire staff was polite and finished the job quickly. Would highly recommend them."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The best way to protect your pets from coyotes is to ensure they are always supervised when outside, especially during dawn and dusk when coyotes are the most active. When walking your dog, keep it on a short leash and carry something noisy you can use to haze any coyotes you may encounter.

If you only use your gate as a pedestrian, walking through without a vehicle, you’re fine to stick with a single fence gate. If your fence opening needs to accommodate vehicles of any kind, from cars to trucks to 4-wheelers, then a double fence gate will suit the space much better and give you more freedom.

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.

A well-maintained pipe fence can last anywhere from 20 to 50 years, depending on factors like material, climate, and maintenance. Galvanized or coated pipes resist rust and corrosion better than other alternatives, so they tend to last longer, especially in humid or wet environments. Routine maintenance, such as inspecting for damage, removing rust, and applying protective coatings, helps extend the fence’s lifespan significantly.

Split rail fencing is a type of post and rail fencing. Other post and rail fences include corral board and post and dowel. Post and rail fencing is the term used for any type of fence with vertical posts, horizontal rails, and nothing else (specifically excluding pickets). So, technically, a split rail fence is a post and rail fence.
