"Adam is a professional arborist, and truly knows his business. He gave me suggestions on limb removal and tree care. He did a delicate removal of a limb over hanging my main roof without any glitches. He took the time to explain what he was going to do beforehand. I recommend Adam Watson and his Canopy Tree Service to anyone needing his service. His fees were very reasonable."

"I had planned on having the shrubs trimmed by this pro, but my brother in law did it for me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that may need landscaping. He was very knowledgeable and very courteous when he arrived at my home."

"Very professional, and thorough. They did an amazing job of taking 75 to 100 foot tree off the top of my house. Then they cover the damage with tarps to prevent further damage from the rain. I would use them again and highly recommend them to friends."

"Patrick is actually an artist! He trimmed branches and trees evenly, and perfectly shaped them. Heâ s a perfectionist! Even cut down tiny dead sprigs. He transformed them from shabby and over grown to more alive, green works of art! We now have less needles from our pine trees and more sun for our swimming pool. His brother works non-stop as well. Donâ t hesitate. Call him. Richie and I are so pleased."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. Second, they struggle more with taking root and staying upright in a new location, so it’s important to give them extra support when staking.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.

Tree borers are difficult to control and remove once they make a home in your tree. However, with patience and determination, some methods can slow the damage or even eliminate the pests. But, once the damage is too much for the tree to handle, the only solution becomes removing it. Talk to a tree specialist early for the best chance at saving your tree.

Yes, tree roots can regenerate after they’re pruned or cut. In fact, trimming can stimulate new growth, especially in healthy trees. The tree’s roots can still grow back even after a tree is cut down, (and learning how to get rid of regrowing tree roots is a separate feat). Still, if you don’t wish to harm a tree, pruning the roots should be done with extreme care, and ideally by a professional.

Although it’s possible, heavy machinery like a crane is necessary for removing an entire tree stump and all. This procedure is extremely costly, time-consuming, and usually unnecessary, as there are plenty of convenient and affordable stump removal options.

Your best bet, if you want to be sure to remove a tree and its stump efficiently, is to speak with a professional. They’ll be able to walk you through the entire process.
