Recent Basement Waterproofing Reviews in Roosevelt

  • American Home Remodeling Inc
Vic and his team were truly amazing throughout our entire home renovation. I cannot recommend this company enough. We had new hardwood floors installed in 4 different rooms, our hallway, a wall removed to create an open concept in our home, professional painting, and vinyl floors installed in our basement. Vic, Kelvin, and Mark were always on top of the project and readily available for any questions or concerns we had. During the reno process we also encountered a problem with water coming through into our basement and Vic was able to get the problem fixed so quickly and efficiently to stay on our projected schedule. We were truly taken care of and blown away by the outstanding job AHR did. Everything was beautifully executed and we definitely plan to use AHR for any and all of our future renovations or repairs needed for our home

Bob's team was great. Before they started, they put plastic up to contain the dust - I knew then they were off to a good start. They did everything Bob said they would. After they finished, all I had to due was to paint the concrete they poured over the drain piping. A few weeks later, we got heavy rain.......and I didn't even see a drop. There's a reason Bob and his team are busy - they do great work at fair price

From the get go I was impressed with Ed's engineering knowledge, his ability to assess structural and materials issues, and his ability to explain the necessary procedures for an optimal outcome. Unlike other contractors who might avoid the inconveniences of working on an historic mid 19th century house, Ed welcomed the opportunity and took immense pride in stabilizing and preparing it for the next 100 plus years. His crew was skilled, punctual, and very pleasant taking great care in the construction and clean-up process. Ed was also very generous with his expertise on maintaining the house, assuring us that he could be called upon for council or to address any future concerns. His company is far beyond professional - they are house whisperers

Antonio and his team were fast, communicative, and stuck to their budget. I first hired them to do the gutter work and then added on the basement drainage work and I have been very pleased with how each job turned out. $6,200 for the french drains/sump pump and $5,500 for the gutter drainage connection to the street. I would DEFINITELY recommend them and would DEFINITELY hire them again if I needed anything

I hired Bob Lindsay to put in French drains and 2 sump pumps after getting water in my basement in July and from Hurricane Henri. He came and evaluated the situation, gave me an estimate on the spot and scheduled my job within a few weeks (unfortunately Hurricane Ida came in between). His crew did an amazing job. The crew arrived on time and proceeded to prep my basement with extreme care of my belongings, covering everything in plastic. They worked tirelessly for 2.5 days and completed all of the work ahead of schedule although they had some unexpected mechanical problems . They cleaned up and left my basement better than they found it. The crew worked like a well oiled machine and Bob was always available for my questions. I would highly recommend WEATHER-TITE with NO reservations

Bob came out, looked over the situation, and told me that I needed French drains and a sump pump installed. He reviewed exactly what he planned to do, when he was available and gave me an estimate right then and there. I was impressed with his knowledge; it was obvious from our conversation that he was experienced and knew exactly how to fix our problem including reworking the gutters in addition to the drains and pump. We hired Bob and he and his crew were out early on the appointed day and worked tirelessly for two full days. I was very happy with their work and how spotless the basement and outside area were when they were finished. About two weeks later came hurricane Ida!! Montclair experience extensive flooding but our basement was dry!! Best money I ever spent!! I recommend them highly. Weather-Tite is an excellent company

  • Avellino Custom Masonry
Nine years ago, we had our basement re-waterproofed by Avellino after another company failed to do an adequate job. It turned out that Avellino was coincidentally set to start the job on the day after Hurricane Sandy hit. Our family had to relocate to a hotel—but the Avellino team showed up (my husband came home to let them in). They even helped run a cord to a generator so the food in our basement freezer didn't spoil. The job included laying down a layer of gravel and adding a second sump pump and water-powered backup sump pumps, too. Fast forward to the night of Hurricane Ida in August. Our family was away on vacation, and I stayed up late reading all the messages in local Facebook groups about the terrible flooding happening in our area. I had hopes that our waterproofing would hold (it hadn't yet been put to the test) but it just seemed like Ida was getting the best of everyone's waterproofing. The next morning, we asked our babysitter to stop by the house. She reported back that our basement was totally dry. It seemed miraculous...except, no, it wasn't—it was the result of a waterproofing company that really, really knows their stuff. I am forever grateful to Billy and his wonderful team

They answered my call immediately. They sent Rudy he showed up promptly. He listened to the things I ask. He gave me an honest assessment of what they would do and how they would do it. They were prompt. They did all the electrical outlets and painting of the entire basement. They also cleaned after the job

  • Rahat Construction Corp.
Rahat Construction did an amazing job repairing my basement and waterproofing the exterior of my house after Hurricane Ida. They regraded the cement, replaced the basement doors, re-fortified and repainted the damaged basement walls and replaced the badly cracked cement on my sidewalk. They are highly responsive, they work very quickly and carefully, and above all, they care about their customers—always taking time to explain decisions and new issues as they arise. This is the second time I’ve worked with them, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat

As I did the first time I used Bob Lindsay's company, I waited six months to write my review. After withstanding nearly 13" of water from Henri and Ida, I cannot recommend this company enough. We used Bob at my first house and decided to use him again when our final walkthrough of our house revealed a wet carpet in the finished basement. Bob's guys replaced the shallow existing window wells with much deeper, galvanized ones, backfilled them with stone and piped them into a perimeter channel drain that was then flashed and cemented to the basement floor height. The sump pump pit was installed and a battery backup system was provided and wired in. The outside grading around the window wells was also redone to slope any surface water away from the foundation. Due to our Radon mitigation system, a polyurethane caulk was also used to seal the system. We remained absolutely bone-dry these last few weeks despite rain falling at 2-3" per hour in some cases. The work is efficient, his guys are extremely friendly and skilled, and despite the messiness of the job, they do a fabulous job cleaning up. There is a certain peace of mind that having this type of work done provides, and you cannot put a price tag on it, especially if you plan on finishing (or refinishing) a basement. At the end of the job, Bob was even kind enough to have one of his guys tie in a 2" piece of PVC from the floor with a cap (which I then drilled a hole in) so I can run my dehumidifier constantly without ever having to empty the bucket. We have since refinished our basement to our liking and know for certain that this was the best home investment we could have possibly made. A friend of ours has also done her entire basement with Weather-Tite and had an equally wonderful experience. Thanks Bob for saving us not once, but twice
