"I highly recommend Corri General Construction. I hired them to paint two bedrooms in my home. Their prices were very reasonable. They were professional and able to start the project right away and completed in timely. I look forward to using them again for other upcoming projects in my home."

"Luis Monge and his crew were true professionals. Their prices were reasonable, and their work was impeccably done. We were having major leak issues in our garage and laundry room. They repaired and tiled the porch, took care of the many issues surrounding the front stairs and outside the garage area. We weren't planning on having them take care of our retaining walls and inside the garage and laundry area, but after seeing their results, we added these tasks onto the scope of work. They completed everything in the timeline they gave us, and we were pleased with all of the work they did. A couple of days after the work was completed, the skies opened up, and even with the record setting rainfall, we were grateful that there were zero leaks. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks for a reference. You'll be so happy you called them."

"Gerson and his team worked on an old bathroom and modernized it with tiles and a large shower stall. It was a big project among many in my house. He was well organized and efficient and very clean. He had a great sense of style and creativity with a limited and unusual space (slanted ceilings on the 3rd floor). I have hired him for multiple projects in my house and would rehire him in the future."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.

Porcelain is a relatively affordable, mid-range countertop material. It typically costs between $50 to $70 per square foot.

Compared to quartz, porcelain is slightly more affordable, as quartz generally ranges from $50 to $200 per square foot. However, lower-quality, builder's grade quartz can be similar in price to porcelain.

Compared to granite, the price can be similar, depending on the quality of the stone. While granite slabs can range from $50 to $200 per square foot, you can find lower-end granite in the same price range as porcelain. High-end granites will cost significantly more.

Porcelain is generally more expensive than laminate, acrylic, and ceramic, but less expensive than high-end slate, concrete, and marble. A key benefit is that porcelain does not require sealing, which reduces long-term maintenance costs.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on. Pebbles are a great non-slip option, but are pricey and tricky to install. Glass might look modern, but it’s not scratch-resistant. Small, floor-rated ceramic or porcelain tiles are economical and have many grout lines that make the surface more slip-resistant. Pick a matte finish rather than a shiny tile if you want it to hide stray mud and hairs better.

Pool remodel costs are pricey, so you want to make sure you do it right. The best pool tile for you is one that looks great and fits your budget. If you have your heart set on a particular tile but can’t afford to tile your whole pool in that style, consider tiling only a small area or portion of your pool with specialty tile.

A quality shower tiling project is a bathroom upgrade that can increase resale value. Bathroom remodels have the highest return on investments for any home update. Tiling a shower won’t offer the potential 70% ROI that a full bathroom remodel involving upgrading fixtures, installing storage, and a complete room retile will. However, you can expect an average return of 55% to 60% for this refresh.
