"Freddie, was fabulas! He assembled the ceiling fan and hooked it up. He even helped us with a loose switch cover. We have plans to call him back with some other jobs that need to be done around the house. I thought his prices were good. Thank you Freddie."

"Bernie and Juan came on Sunday morning to fix my laundry room outlet that had no power (due to bad breaker) and installed a ceiling fan quickly. I appreciate their quick response to the Angi lead as I inquired for service the day before. I would definitely hire them again for electrical services. Thank you again Bernie and Juan!"

"Peter and his team did an amazing job redoing our 2 bathrooms. They were reliable, responsive, and did beautiful work. They were also very helpful with suggestions and providing options when we weren’t sure what to do. We will definitely be hired them again when we model our kitchen in a few months."

"I contracted with Doug Scholz to replace very outdated switches and ungrounded outlets throughout my apartment. I also asked him to install low voltage boxes and drill holes into the top plates in the walls so I can install ethernet wiring.
On the day of the service, Doug arrived with his colleague Mike and they got to work right away. I had placed the hardware I wanted at each of the outlets and switches. My apartment has old wiring, and they had to troubleshoot a few times. In all, there were roughly 15 outlets replaced (2 prong to 3 prong), 4 dimmer switches installed, and a GFI switch combo installed in the bathroom. Doug also installed 3-way switches for the top and bottom of my stairs. He created access points for me to install ethernet wiring for the apartment at later date. Lastly, he updated my breaker box to remove a double-tap on a breaker switch. Now I have one switch for every circuit.
Doug is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He had a lot of suggestions and advice. He let me watch and ask tons of questions. Doug knows his stuff! Like I said, the place I have is old, and just by looking at a few outlet boxes and looking into the wall, he could tell the construction history and what some of the more esoteric hardware was.
I will hire Doug again! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone else looking for an electrician.

"Did just an OK job...interesting...how could an electrician show up to install service for a ceiling fan WITHOUT a ladder?? Then required to make far too many wall holes to connect to electric source..had to go to Home depot for wall switch, pathing supplies, etc... Bottom line it works but wouldn't recommend for a complicated job"

"I had water damage and need new drywall in ceiling and wall and paint.  Let me begin by saying Aziz and his crew are the nicest contractors I have ever dealt with.  He was always very responsive, on time and extremely pleasant.  There were some missed spots and areas that needed correction but as he said "im not leaving until you are completely satisfied."  He was true to his word and when I called him to say I saw some missed spots he came right back. This is really the first time that Ive had a contractor come back to correct his work after they have been paid!  They usually say they will and then dont show up!"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

If you’re removing a ceiling fan without visible screws, start by locating the fan canopy—a round cover placed above the fan blades and motor. There should be a thin ring that can be turned counterclockwise to remove the canopy and reveal the screws. After unscrewing the fan, you can disconnect the wires and remove the entire fan from the mounting hardware. For safety, make sure the fan switch is turned off before you remove the canopy. It may be easier to remove the fan blades first, too.

The most efficient ceiling fan height is 8 to 9 feet from the floor to the fan blades. For ceilings higher than 9 feet, a downrod can be used to lower the fan to the optimal height. This positioning ensures adequate air circulation and maximizes the cooling effect. Remember, fans should be installed at least 7 feet above the floor for safety.
