"We called Drain RX, on a Sunday, after noticing our basement was flooded and seemed to be coming from the toilet bowl (thank you toddlers lol). Victor called us back, came soon after, and diagnosed the problem. He had us fixed up and back on track in no time!! Super professional and we can not thank him enough!!"

"These people responded almost immediately to my request to clear a drain blockage. When the drain clogged again two days later, they came back immediately and snaked another part of the system successfully curing the problem. The revisit and work was free of charge. They even apologized for not permanently clearing the drain the first time. They were extremely nice and courteous and I would recommend them highly for any plumbing or sewage problem."

"Jeff came and was very informative on the overall process and probably the best information I have received to date from anyone. He was very thorough and went thru the process he was performing step by step in a way I could understand. Looked at other causes to see if drain was clogged as week and cleaned up all the dirty areas. Would definitely recommend him to all neighbors and family. Great job Jeff. Thanks"

"Had a whole house filter installed, with a water softener and salt brine tank. Rich went way above the call of duty and got it done even with the tight space I had. Even installed a drain for my navien unit that wasn?t even discussed. I?ve used him a few times in the past and his work is always top tier"

"The bottom floor of our house previously consisted of a den with wood paneling, tile floors and no built-in lighting.  Adjacent to that was a non-functional summer kitchen that we had no need for (but was in place when we bought the house).  We wanted to gut the entire thing, knock down walls for an open space, add built-ins in the den along with a gas fireplace, and add built-ins in the old kitchen space to make it a multi-functional office space.  We also wanted to put in sliding barn doors to separate the office space from the den, when desired, and install hardwood floors throughout the space.
Price Quotes:  We started getting price quotes in January 2015, and got four price quotes including from US Home.  As for US Home, their price was the cheapest (by quite a bit) but our ultimate agreement was such that we would purchase the built-ins, floors, fireplace and barn doors on our own, and they would do the install.  This explained why the price was cheaper, since we'd be incurring additional expense through other vendors.  Some other companies proposed doing some or all of this purchasing/work for us, obviously at much higher prices.  After many rounds of discussion with Bob and other vendors, we decided to go with US Home because they seemed the most professional, competent and reasonable.  For example, we got another bid of approx 60,000 from another company which was supposed to include "everything."  When we met with them to discuss the bid, we immediately realized two things were missing from the bid, and voila, their price went up.  And that was just for the two things we realized in the moment.  This was a common occurrence for every company except US Home--i.e. if after looking at the bid we decided to take something out of the project, it wouldn't change the price, but if we wanted to add something, it raised the price.  This was NOT the case with US Home.  We added lots (LOTS) of things, mostly small, throughout our construction process, including wainscoting, additional storage door, additional outlets, additional hi-hats, converting to dimmer switches, among many other things I can't recall off hand.  None of this added to our price and they were glad to do it, even when we asked them to do it after they had completed aspects of the work.  The only up charge was $250 for a different kind of molding.  From everything I read going into this process, people said to build in an extra 30% for upcharges.  Not with US Home--only $250!!
What they did:  We started construction in late May, and they just completed everything in early August.  There was a long break in between because our built-ins were delayed and didn't come until late July.  Not at all their fault--we ordered them ourselves from another company.  But as soon as they built-ins came, Joe and his crew were back the next day to install them and finish the project.  Overall, their work consistent of full demolition, knocking down walls and re-framing the walls including adding a new closet, supplying and installing hi-hats throughout, installing gas fireplace, installing built-ins, building and tiling a mantle, painting and wainscoting, supplying and installing all molding, re-piping heating elements, among many other smaller things (we originally were having them supply and install floors, but decided to have someone else do that piece, so they lowered their price to take that piece out).  The work was all done professionally, cleanly and with little aggravation.  It was also done so quickly.  When we started, we were shocked at how quick they were moving, to the point that there were things they did before we could chime in with special requests, but they were always willing to change and fix things when we asked.
Responsiveness:  We both work full time so the contractors were here without us most days, requiring us to communicate with them at night, when we'd come home and see what had been done that day.  We texted/called Joe almost daily, and he responded on text very quickly, each time.  And as noted, was always willing to do anything we asked.  On many occasions, he came by at 7AM to walk through things with us before we left for work.  We probably drove him crazy a bit, but he didn't show it, and was always responsive and accommodating.
Overall:  We would hire them again in a heartbeat.  The price was the best, and there was no nickel and diming.  And the work quality was amazing, and we are thrilled with our new space.  We really wrestled with who to hire in the first place, and almost gave up the project out of frustration with not knowing if we would be making the right decision on who to hire.  Very glad we didn't do that and that we went with US Home.  We highly recommend"

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’re installing hurricane ties, consider other storm-proofing projects. You could call a window pro to install storm windows, get in touch with a door installer to add storm doors, or just ask your hurricane tie installer what other projects they’d recommend you get done at the same time.

Installation begins with removing existing doors if necessary, measuring, and accurately fitting the storm door frame and panel for a tight seal.

A well-installed storm door in good condition can increase your home's value. This upgrade is more than just an aesthetic change; it adds functionality, security, and insulation that can appeal to buyers. While it may not significantly raise the sale price on its own, a storm door improves curb appeal and can help attract more potential buyers. However, a shabby or poorly maintained one could have the opposite effect.

There are several types of storm doors, including vinyl-clad, steel-clad, aluminum, and wood-core, and each type has its own benefits. For example, vinyl-clad storm doors are excellent at keeping out water, while steel-clad storm doors hold up well against high winds. There are also multiple styles of storm doors, ranging from full-view (made entirely of glass) to high-view (with just a small glass panel).

Yes, professional installers use weather-resistant materials to protect the dish and cabling from environmental damage.
