Basement Man

I'm renovating an old zombie house, and the basement was in terrible shape - humid, cracked floors and walls and foundation issues both inside and out. I met with several contractors, but most only focused on their own niche, never offering a comprehensive fix. Then I met Jack - Basement Man. He was the only one who looked at the full picture and pointed out issues that others missed. Jack was professional, thorough and honest. He took the time to walk me through my options, never trying to be pushy or upsell me on things I didn't need. He was on-site everyday, led a hard-working team, and turned my basement into a clean, solid and completely revitalized space. His communication was consistent and clear throughout the project. The results were beyond my expectations. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to anyone with basement and foundation challenges.

I needed basement waterproofing. Jack, the basement man,was extremely helpful with letting me know each stage of the project. Work needed to be done on an inside wall to solve a problem with water accumulating outside. In my opinion, he went above and beyond what was expected!. The problem has been fixed and I’m very happy with what it looks like in the basement and the outside. I got four estimates and Jack’s work was highly professional, and his price was extremely competitive.I would highly recommend Jack and his crew.

Every time it rains, I thank the Good Lord for sending me Jack, the Basement Man and his crew !! No more water in my basement !! A local real estate agent recommended Jack and, within the hour, he stopped by to review the the work required to remediate a basement mold issue. Jack has extensive knowledge from being a former builder, and within 30 minutes we had agreed to a very fair price and confirmed his team would be on site first thing Monday morning. Jack and his team did an EXCELLENT job, going above and beyond the planned scope discussed while completing the job... in TWO days! He was extremely thorough and communicated it's status throughout the job. Without a doubt Jack and his crew were the best contractors I have worked with. Give Jack a call - you will not be disappointed! Description of Work: All paneling and carpets were removed. Studs were stripped of nails for new sheetrock. Furniture was removed and the entire basement was cleaned, including a crawl space. Floors and walls were sprayed with multiple anti-mold solutions and the floors, staircase and handrail were painted. Exterior walls were waterproofed. The roof was cleaned. And leaders and gutters were cleaned out, and extensions were added.

Jack was super informative and kind during the whole process of the project. Jack and his crew did an amazing job transforming my basement. I was shocked to see how much better it looked. I feel confident that there will be no more flooding thanks to the workmanship provided. Would highly recommend using Jack and his team!

We had a dry well installed in our egress window well by another company a couple of years ago. But last month we had several days of heavy rain and our basement flooded again. The other company wouldn't show up to look at it so we called Jack Basement Man Brady. He brought his crew over two days later, found, and fixed, several deficiencies in how the dry well had been put in, and added a sump pump as extra protection. He also made some other improvements to keep the rainwater away from our foundation. Jack and his team were very thorough and the price was reasonable. He explained everything in great detail, maybe too much detail sometimes, and made sure we understood why he did everything. Also, it rained hard again a few days later and the dry well held up but we noticed a leak in a different spot. Jack came back and fixed that too, at no extra charge. We would highly recommend Jack for any basement flooding projects.

How dry I am! After 15 years of dealing with water coming into the boiler area of my basement every time it rained, Jack The Basement Man fixed the problem. Very professional and truly cares about making sure the job is done correctly. Jack is a no-nonsense guy that talks to you with respect. He obviously has many years of experience because he was able to identity the source of the problem right away and tells you straight up what he needs to do to fix. His team took their time in completing the job and cleaned up after themselves. Very reasonable priced. If you look further to save a few bucks you are wasting your time.

Jack and his crew were top notch !! Excellent workmanship and very clean !! Great guy, very professional and knowledgeable, fair price too !! Redirected rain water around foundation outside, removed basement sheetrock, located leak on basement wall and repaired, waterproofed foundation, treated mold, replaced sheetrock, insulation and molding, primed and painted. Highly recommend this company !!

Jack and his crew were thorough, professional and courteous throughout the entire waterproofing project for the basement, which included outside drainage work to better direct water away from the house, and the foundation repairs that were needed. He provided a detailed estimate and explained all facets of the project. Jack also provided additional recommendations for repairing the house gutters and downspouts. The home was built in the 1940's and the basement would flood following rain. Since the repairs, three rain storms within five weeks, each with over 3 inches of rain, have occurred and the basement waterproofing project was immediately tested. It has remained dry!

Jack and his crew were amazing. Jack responded quickly and assessed the problem and proposed a solution. He was friendly but professional and was easy to work with. The cost was very reasonable and the work was completed before the next deluge so I didnâ t get flooded again. All the crew members (Mike, Leo, Benny and James) were efficient and knew what they were doing. Special mention and commendation to James (the foreman) who went over and above in getting the basement in order. In fact when he was finished organizing the basement I couldnâ t believe it was mine. Hopefully it will serve as an incentive for me to maintain it. I wouldnâ t hesitate to recommend Basement man.

I interviewed six different waterproofing companies after our basement flooded (we purchased an older home that was originally built in 1982) and received six wildly different quotes with the solutions all over the place. Jack Brady took the time to explain the problem, pinpoint the causes, and work through the various options with me in a way that made the most sense. His quote was not the highest or lowest, but it was fair and good value for the money commensurate with the services he and his dedicated team provided. They showed up to do the work when they said they would, kept the work site clean, worked efficiently, and got the job done. Jack also happens to be an incredibly nice guy and by the end of the project he felt like a friend. Best of all, I believed Jack when he said he would personally guarantee his work, and that has proven correct. I've called him multiple time in the two years since when I had new water issues in the basement, and he always responded right away, driving over an hour to get to my house to check things out. On one occasion the source of the issue was a burst pipe, which was something he warned me about and was not his fault. More recently we had water come in after a particularly heavy storm. He returned right away to resolve the issue on his dime so it won't happen again. If I could give more stars than 5, I would!

Jack is extremely honest, friendly, caring and great at his job. James also does great work! I highly recommend this company. There was an issue and they came back and I know they would in the future if I had a problem. I had hired him also two years ago. He put in a window well and I never had another leak near that window.

I have never met a man like Jack before. He is learned, kind, decent and friendly. He realistically promises then completely OVER delivers. I had two other fellows look at my foundation project. 1 only gave an estimate based on photos and never came to the house. The other didn't want the job because he couldn't make enough money on it. Jack Brady and his amazing crew , are the most efficient, hardworking perfectionists that We have hired in 30 yrs! Amazing job, finished in one week on a 7400 square foot basement, consisting of multiple â add onâ foundations. We purchased this home with a dingy, unfinished basement, that was a mess. Under Jackâ s expertise, this crew went above and beyond, examining issues that were outside their projectâ for structure, safety and aesthetic issues. Perfectly neat and clean, â their work and the transformation that resulted, were simply unbelievable! Jack is a caring and concerned contractor, that made sure everything was beyond perfect, added extras and did a report of all items that needed looking into by other professionals, ie, boilers, water heater , oil and gas tanks, plumbing issues, even electric. He is knowledgeable in basically every area of construction and subcontractor issues. I cannot tell you how thrilled we are! ( He even found a fault in an original wall of an old foundation, and had it reinforced, grinders down and properly sealed.. at least 3 different coats of hydrolic cement and seals plus waterproof painting)! Absolutely amazing and a warm, concerned personality, a â helluva guyâ , as we have embraced Jack Brady as a friend. The price was beyond reasonable, and we are so thankful to have chosen â Basement Manâ . You want to chose him to do this type of projectâ I cannot imagine there is ANYONE better to do such amazing and particular work. If I could give 100 stars, I would! Best of the Bestest!
