"We could not be happier with the work done by OZ. We’ve done countless home renovations over the years and the level of professionalism, attention to detail and attentiveness we got from OZ were unmatched. The design that was done by Uzi (owner) and Lori (designer) was an easy, flexible, and enjoyable process. The level of customer service we received from Mike (the PM) was something we never before experienced. To call him just a project manager is a vast understatement. He checked in nearly every day to keep us abreast of the project status and showed us in detail what work was happening and why. When we had design decisions his considerable experience was invaluable. When the team was shorthanded due to Covid, he put on kneepads and did the work to keep them on track. He never forgot a single item that we discussed and made it unnecessary for us to keep our own punch list. All of this is great but what matters most is the final product and this is where OZ shined. Caesar (crew leader) and his team had impeccable attention to detail and never took a single shortcut. They completely redesigned our kitchen, updated our den, built us a new custom fireplace, installed several new windows and replaced nearly half of the floors in our house. Several months later it is still impossible to find any issues. Everyone who came to our house was polite, professional, and patient with our questions. As far as we could tell they all worked for OZ and none were subcontractors. The cabinets are built here on Long Island by folks who support families on the Island. When they did hit installation issues, the cabinet builders themselves came to the house to resolve them! When friends come over to check out the work, they are consistently amazed and can’t stop complimenting the project. Anyone who has done even a few home projects will realize how rare this all is. We’ll never do another remodel with anyone but OZ. Great work guys!!"

"Palermo Flooring Inc I recently had the pleasure of working with **Palermo Flooring Inc**, and they truly saved the day. After a frustrating experience with another company due to their careless work, I was in a panic to find someone reliable. That’s when I came across Palermo Flooring. Upon meeting with the owner, **Matthew Bruno**, I explained the situation. He quickly assessed the condition of my floors, as we were planning to refinish and stain the hardwood in six rooms. Matthew and his team of 2 to 3 specialists were everything I hoped for: prompt, respectful, and highly professional. They were incredibly patient and even great with pets, which was a huge plus. Their workmanship was exceptional, leaving my floors looking stunning. The team was clean, courteous, and meticulous, ensuring every detail was perfect. I can’t recommend Palermo Flooring Inc enough. If you don’t hire them, you’re truly missing out on top-notch service. ---"

VPT Quartz We are a stone company based out of New York that specialize in-door and out-door home construction or Renovation project. We work with wide selections of stone, from Granite, Marble, Quartz and more. We Specialize in Designing, fabricating and installing the stone. Our main focus is to execute each project to perfection with minimum affect to your daily routine.

"Background- I was finally able to afford a new counter top- did research and Angi/Home Advisor kept coming up.So I checked out what was offered for counter tops - 3 came up -2 did not respond and VPT Quartz or Vilorio's Personal Touch. I had an estimate appt on 7/18/24. A "MIKE" showed show up eventfully - very late & full of excuses. Since he was so late I decided to let my Pit Bull & German Shepard- ( since they been locked up for a few hrs. And I was doing some yard work. He did not show any respect for the time it me to put the dogs away again and clean up. I told him I didn't appreciate him showing up like that with no call- he stated he text me but I have a landline (which I made very clear to Brian (office person) so again another excuse. I let him come in (free estimate anyway & a 5 star rating). Mike comes in and starts with the great deals he has. Then starts doing measurements just by pushing my stuff that I had left On the counter out of the way like garbage. Which I found disrespectful. Lucky(????) for me MIke has a piece of quartz that would fit- a speckled white. Mike will give a good price $1300 -I said like to think about it. Then Mike throw in another deal (that's because he didn't like the over the counter sink I had & the faucet installed myself professionally w/o no problem) but I knew that the sink & faucet deal($100) was ok. So I agreed. ;Mike stated he would come back to make sure he had the right measurements, called I to make the appointment and right away Brian asked for installation date - I responded "NO" but the date Mike was to come back for measurements. Then Brian asked for a $700 deposit & I stated I only had $500- But Mike really it was to collect the deposit(rude again) so as not to assist with my project. Installation Date:7/25/24 between 1-3 PM 3 strangers & a kid show up & no Mike(supposedly the installer), no Identification on them or the truck (which was a beat up pickup truck) Some impression ,huh. When I asked where Mike was, they said he was coming- later. So I waited a little while , NO MIKE, and still concerned why a young child was brought to the job. I ended up letting them in ( a little **** about the child in the truck with nothing to do). Out of kindness I moved my truck out the way so it would be helpful for them to get the counter top in. NO appreciation. Like it was expected. They ripped out the old sink, faucet & counter top and left in the driveway. I had to show them the contract that stated they would be responsible for disposal- I got an attitude about that. The Counter top had to wait because the sink had to go in first. That's done and the counter top installed & looks good. The Faucet: It was a problem for the workers ( I call them workers/laborers because I noticed none of them were plumbers, or skilled laborers) The Hot water connection was no problem. The Cold water connection must have been ripped out when they took the sink out(I'm guessing , because again I had installed a faucet with no problems. The connections the laborer ( not a plumber) to the Faucet had no pressure(I thought that maybe the hose they used was the wrong size) & he didn't know what to do about it ;looks like he use a few junk connectors, a faulty turner (one that looks like you would use on an outside faucet) ,jimmy it together and it leaks. What a mess they left. I had to re- sweep under the sink area, the counter top where they had to drill a bigger hole because the faucet didn't fit that need a total wipe down causing dust which then I had to vacuum. And I had left the area spotless and expected to be returned to the same cleanliness I had done. I called about the situation and spoke with Brian again and he would contact MIKE .Mike came explained the sometimes stuff get into the faucet during installation and he brought an extra faucet head. I also mentioned that it was leaking - Mike checked and didn't feel a leak. Why because his hands were wet???? Who checks for leak with wet hands Then Which happened to get me thinking that the sink & faucet was the closing of the deal. No favor to me. Well folks I had to call again because now it is still leaking. I called 7/28 to report this problem and Brain stated that Mike will be out either 7/30 or 7/31. Never heard back."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on tile material, damage severity, labor, and whether refinishing is required.

Yes. You can replace individual floor tiles. You’ll need to soften and remove the grout around the damaged tile before you can remove the tile, and work carefully to avoid damaging any surrounding tiles. It’s best to leave this job to a pro to make sure the finished project is properly installed and sealed for a seamless finish.

Minor repairs, like grout touch-ups, can be done DIY, but professional service is recommended for significant repairs or replacements to maintain tile integrity and aesthetics.

Yes, limestone often turns yellow over time when improperly cared for. The stone contains natural iron deposits, which can oxidize when exposed to water, acids, or harsh chemicals, such as bleach. Without exposure to water or chemicals, limestone should not turn yellow. Always seal limestone countertops to protect them from moisture, and only use gentle cleansers designed for stone.

You may be wondering what travertine is. Travertine is a natural stone found in mineral spring deposits and mined from a rock quarry. Manufacturers cut the stone into slabs and then into tiles or pavers.

The stone is tumbled in rubber or plastic-coated barrels to give it a rustic look or brushed with a wire wheel to give it texture. Additionally, polished travertine is finished with glossy sealants. In most cases, holes or pits are filled with color-matched resin, epoxy fillers, cement, or sanded grout.
