"Zach from EZ environmental LLC was nothing but phenomenal. I got jammed up with the department of health with a stop work order. I needed someone to respond immediately and reaching out to Zach was the right move. I had an asbestos sample that came back positive, Zach was right on it. He connected immediately with the health department inspector and negotiated the scope of work required. He saved me huge money on the abatement, communicated efficiently and walked me through each steps of the process. His work was neat, and his price was very reasonable. He got me the clearance as he said he will. Zach made a process that could’ve been very stressful so easy. Ez environment was just great for the job and will be using them for my future project."

"Very knowledgeable and experienced. Qualtek helped me from start to finish when I had to demolish my garage. I had no clue there were so many requirements for pre-demo but Mike and his team walked me through everything quickly and efficiently."

"I had to have the guy come back because the work was incomplete. He complained the whole time about the work that needed to be done at the price he quoted to me. I would have rather paid more money to go with someone else than deal with the lack of professionalism."

"I could not be more pleased with the entire team at Certified Radon Systems. They were professional, prompt, and affordable. All components of the system, both on the exterior of the home as well as the interior, are neat and inconspicuous. Most importantly, however, they reduced the radon readings in my basement from above 10 pCi/L to 0.36 pCi/L. I keep an Airthings monitor in the basement just to keep an eye on the levels as they fluctuate with the change in weather. As of the writing of this review, just about two months in, my levels have not risen above 0.63. I am very happy with the radon remediation completed by Certified Radon Systems and would recommend them to anyone concerned about radon in their home."

"Job was completed in short order. Basement is completely, FRP paneling was installed and looks great throughout. My only complaint is that there was a ton of concrete dust left behind, both in the basement and tracked through the family room. I would still recommend them."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Black mold often smells musty, stale, or earthy, and some people liken its scent to that of sweaty clothing. While not everyone can identify the smell of mold, you are likely to smell it before you see it, as it usually is hidden in dark, damp areas; instead, the scent may pervade your entire home. If you smell mold, start by opening windows and looking for the source of the smell. If you find mold or are concerned about side effects, call a mold specialist right away, as it can be almost impossible to get rid of yourself.

It is not recommended to use straight, undiluted bleach to eradicate mold as it can be too harsh and pose potential health risks due to its strong fumes and damaging effects on surfaces. To avoid adverse effects, bleach should be diluted with water in a 1:3 ratio. This ensures effective mold removal while minimizing health risks.

Neglecting mold growth on wood can result in various issues that deteriorate its appearance and jeopardize its structural stability. The mold's ability to multiply and expand can disintegrate the fibers of the wood, weakening it further. In addition, the allergenic spores and mycotoxins released by mold can pose health hazards through inhalation or contact. Ignoring the mold's presence allows it to thrive, increasing the likelihood of spreading to other surfaces and requiring extensive and expensive measures to control in the future. Addressing mold on wood promptly is crucial to preserving its condition and safeguarding the health of those around it.

Running an air conditioner with mold is not safe because it can spread harmful mold spores throughout your home. Exposure to these spores can trigger various health problems, including respiratory issues, allergies, coughing, wheezing, sneezing, itchy eyes, and a sore throat. It may also aggravate asthma in household members. Continued exposure can increase the risk of more serious illnesses like sinus infections, pneumonia, and bronchitis. If you suspect mold in your air conditioner, you should stop using the system until it has been properly cleaned to avoid health risks and further contamination.

Slime mold can thrive for weeks or months in the perfect environment, but that rarely occurs. The mold will typically die within a week of you noticing it. However, it could be dead long before it disappears, and since it’s safe to handle, it’s easier to get rid of it all at once. This eliminates its chance to spread, and also won’t leave you looking at decaying slime mold.
