"I sure did pick the Right contractor for my new roof and total remodel of my whole house. Dale Randall Roofing. He is very high quality bringing in the all professional help, During the estimate process he throughly went over everything with me , He took many pictures for me to see all that he was replacing. He stayed in contact with me as he was working with his employees , all very professional. After all was completed , he went over everything again with me. He also checked back with me a few months latter to assure I was happy with all the remodel and new roof. I had many estimates , Dales Roofing was certainly the best. TPO roofing can last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, or an average of 22 years, but you can extend its life expectancy through proper roof maintenance. For the best chance at realizing the longest life span possible, keep tree branches trimmed so they’re not in contact with the roofing material. Inspect your roof regularly and repair any damage immediately.

No, a chimney crown is not the same as a chimney cap. A chimney crown is a flat cement area on top of a masonry chimney. It starts where the masonry part of the chimney ends at the very top and domes upward toward the flue opening. A chimney cap sits on top of the crown over the flue. It is usually made of metal and allows smoke to escape without letting in rainwater.

While there are many benefits to installing a metal roof on your home, there are some downsides, too. Zinc roofs, in particular, are susceptible to corrosion from overly salty air directly near coastal areas. Another potential downside of zinc roofing is that it must be allowed to expand and contract with the weather. This means special attention is necessary to how it's fastened to the home to avoid issues.

Whether a metal or shingle roof is better for you depends on your preferences. Standing seam metal roofs require little to no maintenance, but if you install a screw-down metal roof where the fasteners are exposed, the gaskets on the fasteners will dry rot and need to be replaced. Generally, screw-down metal roofs need to be re-screwed every 15 to 20 years.

Metal roofs are energy-efficient and have extended warranties, while asphalt shingles are less durable than most. They tend to lose color and get damaged over time, and absorb heat from the sun.

Homeowners insurance sometimes covers roof decking, but it depends on the cause of damage and whether the decking was properly installed. If the roof decking was damaged by a severe storm, then it will likely be covered. Insurance may also pay for roof decking work if building codes require it. However, insurance won’t cover damage caused by normal wear and tear or poor maintenance practices.
