"Hiring a contractor when you are used to doing the work yourself is always difficult. How do you find that person open enough to see your vision? How do you know they can do the work, and at a price you can afford? All I can say is that we found the perfect company with JMW Builders. It started with meeting Dylan who met with me several times, was always available to text or talk. Together we talked about my husband's and my vision for the work, chose colors and ordered the materials. The day they arrived he and his partner Shane worked with Matt to strip the old deck off and be there when the order was delivered. I didn't even have to be home! Dylan and Shane are talented professionals who listen to the owner but also aren't afraid to share their professional opinion. I appreciate that because when you are investing in a project you want it to turn out the best it possibly can. Their opinions guided the project to a successful end. Before they began, I decided to add a new pergola. Dylan helped me choose one that worked best with the design and the construction of it is an amazing addition to the deck. The team kept the construction very organized, they made certain to clean each night and when needed, place boards down for my dogs to access the backyard. When I needed some bars installed in my house in an emergency, all I had to do was call and they were there. I cannot say enough about their professionalism, talents and work ethic. Tony was awesome from start to finish. He explained everything they were going to do; told me exactly when they would show up (they did) and when they would finish (they did on time as well). He showed me photos of the work as it proceeded. An incredible family business that deserves your business. Do not even hesitate. I dreaded getting our roof replaced since we bought the house almost 25 years ago - but now I will not need to worry about it for as long as we are here thanks to Ava. If you do not believe the five-star reviews on some of the sites that do not verify reviews, just check them out on BBB. I know many sites are pay for play when it comes to reviews and they also do not check to see if they are being posted by competitors. But the BBB will do that - and they just happen to have a perfect 5 star rating there. I cannot recommend these guys high enough. I wish every company I dealt with was like Ava."

"Kris was performing an estimate for our neighbor and when asked, came over to take a look at our roof that had been damaged in the Spring hailstorm. Within a few days he was back with the estimate for the roof which included shingles, gutters, leaf guards and more. We got ambitious and decided to go for residing the house and he included that in the estimate as well. The siding had to be ordered and Kris kept in contact throughout that waiting period and as soon as it was ready, his crew went to work. They were there promptly in the morning and worked throughout 3 days to complete the job. His crew was very polite when asking our opinions on certain things. When the work was done, the clean-up was wonderful. We were very fortunate to have Kris handle this job since once we had the insurance approval; we weren’t sure where to look for a contractor. The house looks completely different and new and last night’s wind/rain storm was a great test of the workmanship! We recommend O’Connor Contracting for any home improvement needs and will certainly call Kris for any future projects we might have."
