"Tom was efficient and professional. He noticed some of the windows needed glazing and did a great job in taking care of that as well as trim paint on the windows. He’s also painted/sealed my basement walls and floor. When all jobs were done, he was sure to leave a clean space. Tom is great to work with and is conscientious about communicating in a timely manner. I highly recommend him for painting/staining. "

"Mike and his crew showed up everyday on time and stayed for eight hours each day. They demolished the old siding first and made sure to clean up all materials around the lawn. They placed cloths down while working inside and again swept everything up at the end of the day. They were very professional and installed all materials perfectly. Whenever there was a problem, everyone stayed positive and worked around it. Excellent communication with me about any questions they had. The quote which was given at the beginning of the project was right on at the end. No surprises. The house looks just fantastic! Siding is level, doors work and lock easily and the window all open smoothly. This is our fourth project with Mike and he, and his entire crew are just outstanding. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Yes, you can touch up a newly painted ceiling, but it's not a common occurrence. If you need to touch up new ceiling paint, be sure to use the original paint. You should only use a small amount of paint and, for a small area, use a small paint roller or paintbrush. You can also use a Q-tip or a toothpick to fix very small blemishes on the paint.

Magnetic paint is only available in dark gray or black because of the iron dust particles mixed through it. If your heart is set on a less-gloomy shade, add a top coat or two of other latex or chalkboard paint. But adding more than two top coats will degrade the magnetic properties. Dark top coats work better than light shades, as the black or gray magnetic paint is less likely to peek through.

Textured or older walls with years of wear can make matching trickier. Paint on these surfaces may catch the light differently or have faded unevenly. Try to match in a smoother, less worn spot (such as behind a door or piece of art). You may also want to paint a small test swatch and let it dry completely before deciding, as it may look significantly different once it has cured.

Streaky trim paint can result from several factors, including improper application techniques and insufficient coats. If you use a brush too large or damaged, you’re more likely to get uneven coverage. Using the wrong paint for the surface can also mean it’s not opaque enough to get the right coverage and a smooth finish. Remember to keep drying times in mind if you’re doing multiple coats. Make sure the bottom layer is completely dry before adding another layer. Otherwise, the brush and drag and clump the different paint textures, leading to a streaky, bumpy mess.

Spraying and brushing both can lead to beautiful, evenly painted window shutters. Spraying is faster and easier, but it brings in an added cost, as paint sprayers are around $100 to buy or $40 per day to rent.
