"Dave Nessel and his stellar company, Unique Construction NY Inc. are the BEST. Allow me tell you why- On May 15th 2022 at 5:45 p.m., my house was hit by, what electrical engineers later estimated, was at least 80,000 volts of lightning. That huge, direct surge of energy destroyed all the systems and contents that made my house more than four walls and a roof. In addition to the bolt of lightning destroying all the systems in the house, it caused a violent, destructive fire. Thankfully I was home at the time of the incident, or the house would have quickly burned down all the way down and my pets would have suffered a terrible fate. Still, after all was said and done what had been my home for seventeen years was reduced to nothing more than an outer shell. I was immediately forced into the position to find, hire, and organize tradesmen from all specialties, negotiate the endless complexities of homeowners insurance, all while trying to find a place to live and continuing my self-employed full-time work schedule. It quickly became clear I needed the services of a general contractor. I interviewed a couple, but as soon as I met Dave I knew he was the man for the job. Dave was always on time or early. He went through the house with a fine tooth comb for hours, noticing things and problems from the destruction I hadn't noticed. His expertise of every level of construction and understanding of all aspects of housing systems (electrical, plumbing, etc) was unmatched by anyone else I had interviewed. Additionally he had an understanding of the homeowner insurance protocols and was able to interject as a supporting role (only when needed, Dave never undermined me -I'm a single female homeowner-) with professional, easy to read, paperwork, accurately demonstrating all costs. I'm confident his detailed documentation made the long slog of negotiations with my insurance representatives a little easier. Under his expert guidance, his company gutted and rebuilt my old house to beautifully modern standards while maintaining its historical charm. The rebuild came in precisely on budget and two weeks early. Dave's company Unique Construction handled my complex situation with upstanding processional skill, old fashioned kindness, and outstanding forthrightness. Dave and his crew treated me with respect, rebuilt my home, and provided a little hand holding & TLC when it seemed I needed it and I'm eternally grateful. Anyone reading this should hire Unique Construction!"

"We almost built a new small house. We did a, total kitchen renovation, added a bedroom, bathroom and screened in porch. Casey handled it all including plumbing and electric with expert attention to detail. He was expedient and made a normally stressful situation much easier. My home now feels like we just built it from scratch and it is beautiful!"

"Brian from BVK Inc was very professional!!! I was referred to him from my nephew who had a house built in Gardner and hehelped build it. When I called him he was ready and started with plans and getting the building permit. Once approved he started immediately and worked everyday until it was completed and did a fantastic job!! Brian is now my go to person to get things fixed around my home!"

"Scott rebuilt my kitchen. Not only did he install all of my appliances, he also built me a breakfast nook. Tiles are flushed together making the surfaces smooth and easy to clean. He communicated with me through each process of renovations and addressed all of my concerns. He also built a drainage system through my yard and both at the top and bottom of my driveway to prevent flooding. If I ever had a question, he always had an answer."

"We bought our home a few months ago, and I just want to say how much we?ve appreciated the way we?ve been treated. From day one, we felt like we weren?t just another sale. The team has been kind, responsive, and really there for us whenever we needed something. They truly care about making sure everything is right and that we?re happy. Mr. Shtienmetz is someone you can tell genuinely loves what he does. He?s involved, he listens, and he stands behind his work. It?s not just business for him, you can feel that he does this with heart. That kind of dedication is hard to find, and we?re very thankful for it. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home. If you want to work with people who truly care and stand behind what they do, you will be in very good hands."

"I have not completed this project yet. I am still in the beginning stages but so far Hudson valley Home source has been wonderful. Brian Hitt is very knowledgeable and competent in everything he does. I expect everything to be complete around November or December. Feel free to contact me then and I will be more than happy to give my opinion."

"I hired Remodeling Concepts based on a recommendation. Right from the start Derek was very responsive and once at my home he was full of ideas and suggestions to help us with our remodel. I brought in 3 contractors before hiring RC. The estimates were all around the same amount and Derek was right in line with his prices but he offered a lot more than anyone else I spoke to. Throughout the remodel, the entire staff were professional and friendly. I actually got to the point that I felt that the guys had become family...my dogs even liked them! Derek and his staff were always available when I needed them and anytime I made changes to the project Derek took it in stride and worked with me to make sure I was happy. One of the things that really made me happy when dealing with Derek is that when he would come to the house on a day that he wasn’t on site, he would review the work done and at times would find something that he deemed unacceptable that my wife and I didn’t even notice and would have the work redone to make sure it was perfect. This was a huge project that I was very nervous about and Derek and his staff made sure things went smoothly and I couldn’t be happier with the results. We did everything from new siding and a new roof, to a full kitchen remodel, new laundry room, new covered deck, and central air among other things. The biggest indicator of how happy I am with the work done is that I recently contacted Derek to do more work for me!"

"Cary showed up on time . The work was done quick and efficiently. And the work area was left clean."
