"Title: A Job that Exceeded Expectations: David, the owner of Unique Hardwood Floors came to my home to provide an estimate for our job, which included removal of wall to wall carpet throughout the entire house and restoration (sanding, staining and sealing) of the white oak floors below. I had three different contractors come to the house for this purpose. David distinguished himself from the others by his attention to detail that the others failed to see, his ability to explain why these details mattered and his ability to hear and respond to my concerns. His estimate was a little higher than the others, but my gut told me that he would be the most skilled and reliable professional to work with. As it turned out, I was right on both accounts! One of the most difficult decisions after choosing the contractor was choosing the stain and protective sealer for the wood floors. David exposed and sanded down a 5 foot square surface of the wood floor, near to our glass terrace doors so that natural daylight could illuminate the nine different stains that would eventually be applied in this area. He meticulously taped a 3 by 3 grid on the freshly sanded surface, and stained/labeled each of the nine squares. He performed this task with the same care and attention to detail that he demonstrated throughout every stage of the project. By the time I selected the stain, I had already performed an extensive online search to determine what was considered to be the very best comercial grade sealer for application on top of the stain. Without my request of this top shelf product, David had already specified the exact same product on his itemized estimate. His team carefully moved all of our furniture into the den (not requiring wood restoration), and bathrooms. The work proceeded on time and within the timeframe (6 days) as predicted. When I returned to see the final product every piece of furniture was precisely in place as before. David took careful photos of all furniture placement before disassembling and moving the many large and small pieces. He used these photos as a reference for furniture placement when the floors were done. The floors look amazing and the home looks brand new. My family, friends and neighbors are all impressed. Several have requested his contact information. Some additional points: 1. David was meticulous about placing plastic barriers on walls, clothing in closets, Airconditioners, kitchen cabinets etc. to prevent wood dust from getting into our personal belongings. Upon my return to home there was no sign of wood dust anywhere. 2. I went overseas for part of the time that David was working in our home. He kept in daily touch via text message to update me on his progress. I received several awesome short videos of exactly what was going on and used them to make a decision to replace some discolored and stained old wood boards. 3. David never let a text message or question from me go unanswered. He acted as a responsible professional in every aspect of this project. When it came to making the final payment, I actually shared with him that I never felt this good about spending this amount of money on anything. He exceeded my expectations for both the actual work performed and my interaction with a home contractor. Needless to say, he gets my highest recommendation and â Six Stars"

"I can't stop raving about Marcos, Lisa and the wonderful crew at Reis Wood Floors LLC! They literally saved my hard wood floors--and my sanity--and I am absolutely thrilled by the stunning results. The first company we originally hired to refinish our floors ended up destroying them. They didn't sand properly and the horrible stain job made my floors look like a Jackson Pollock painting. I cried my eyes out. But then I came across Reis, and although I was nervous about my first bad experience, Lisa reassured me that Marcos would fix it. OMG--Was she right!! I want to mention that we had two massive pet stains (left by the previous owners) by the entrance and in the dining room. but Marcos sanded them away brilliantly. There's no sign they were ever there. This company is so honest and fairly priced. Marcos didn't charge me extra for anything! They detailed all costs (we chose the more expensive Bona water based poly)--and I am one extremely happy and satisfied customer! I would give them 10 stars if I could! Communication was a breeze. "My first time using this company. Shane came out on time for the estimate to sand and refinish my floors for 3 bedrooms, hall and living room. He provided a fair estimate we scheduled our appointment which was revolving around a 3 day trip we planned and moving all our furniture to our dining room. The morning of appointment Shane and crew arrived as promised explained the process to us before we left. We returned and the job was completed as planned and the area they didnt work in was as we left it. What a relief!
