Its president, Norm Bauman, began learning the business at his father�s knee, assisting his dad with alarm installation since age ten. In the early 1980�s, Norm also worked for other security companies across New York State, gathering knowledge and honing his techniques. Seeing a need for reliable installation methods and more individualized customer service, he formed his own company, Custom Security Systems, in 1984.
