"I had several projects I needed completed. Gooshaw Construction responded to my Anji inquiry regarding a bathroom remodel. We made appt. within days to meet and explain what I wanted. They showed up exactly as set up and listened to exactly what I wanted. Long story short bathroom remodel, kitchen and foyer upgrade, new fencing, deck powered washed and painted later I can whole heartedly endorse Gooshaw Construction. At each stage i was presented with a complete quote including pricing and timeline. In all phases they completely followed as agreed and with an eye for detail and integrity. I highly recommend."

The demo on this job was quite interesting! We found layers of previous flooring and had to practically reconstruct the floors before we were able to lay down the tile. However, we’re always prepared for the little surprises!

"It was basically OK. It just turned out to be more than I thought it would be. The job in the end was great. It looks very nice. I had taken the wallpaper off and so they had to remove the glue. I couldn't do it myself, so they said they could do that. That was about $700 on top of the $100. Then they charged me another $200 for the painting. They used my towels that I had in the bathroom. It is drags. They did weird things like that. I couldn't believe it. They didn't cover anything, so there is this fine silt from them scraping everything off the walls. My medicine cabinet and under the sink, everything just silted through everything, because nothing was covered when they were working. It was nothing big, but it was the little things that drove me nuts. They used my ladder and they spilled paint all over it. It is no big deal, but I thought they could have cleaned it up. They accommodated my time, because I work in the afternoons. They came in the mornings and they were in and out on time. They built up the walls so that it was nice and smooth and it looked beautiful when they were done. I really can't complain about anything like that. I can't complain about the work. The work was good. The kid that was working in the bathroom, somehow made the toilet leak. He must have stepped on the wrong thing or something. So I had to replace the toilet. He said they broke it and they would replace it. They brought the cheapest one off course, which I understand. I should have thought about it before I sent them out. I did pay for the toilet, but they installed it. The job came out good. There are still some things that are not perfect. The quality of the work was good."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Your blower motor may make a loud sound if the bearings overheat or wear down as your system ages. You may also hear loud noises coming from your blower if it’s struggling to pull in air due to dirty or damaged ducts, closed or blocked vents, or a dirty air filter. Typically, this causes a loud whistling sound.

When maintained and repaired when necessary, your whole-house fan can last between 10 and 20 years. Check your warranty when purchasing the unit, as it will typically only cover between 5 and 15 years. Its longevity will also depend on your local climate and how much you use the fan. Having a professional size your fan appropriately for your home size will also help ensure it doesn’t get overworked, which can limit its lifespan.

Some disadvantages of a blower cooler—a type of cooling device sometimes known as a swamp cooler—are its increased energy demand and its higher noise level. Blowers require more energy to run because they push air out at a higher pressure. This also means a blower cooler can be louder than a fan. Blower coolers are also not recommended for humid areas because humidity limits their cooling potential.

WD-40 in its liquid or aerosol form is highly flammable. Using it around live electrical parts, such as a bath fan, can generate fire and a dangerous condition. However, if you follow proper safety procedures, including disconnecting the power to the fan before working on it, WD-40 can help remove some of the grime that builds up in your bath fan.

Depending on the thickness of the carpet, it can take anywhere from 4 to 12 hours for carpet to dry with a fan. The humidity and temperature of the room also play a role in drying time, as added moisture in the air can result in longer drying time.
