"These installers were efficient, affable, familiar with the work, got it all done in one day. There's one small detail which I need to have them change, a detail I should have dealt with that day. Once it's done, I'll remove this sentence. I love this company and will always use them for any A/C or heating issues. I've used them for 15 years and appreciate their professionalism. They hire quality people. The salesman I've dealt with on two occasions (gas fireplace and this installation) explains things clearly and is very professional in his approach.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Boiler installations and replacements cost between $3,600 to $8,400. Expect to pay around $5,900 on average for a new boiler, including installation. Adding new radiators or heaters to the boiler may include separate costs if you are also upgrading those components, so the final price may be higher. To decrease costs, you can look for local energy rebates for using a boiler and wait until installers are offering discounts for a first-time installation.

You can use a boiler and a furnace, although it’s not common to use both for whole-house heating. For example, your furnace may take care of HVAC heating through your vents, while a boiler powers your floor-based radiant heating in the bathrooms. Mixing and matching like this gives homeowners a variety of heating possibilities.

Most experts recommend getting three to five HVAC quotes from licensed, insured, reputable local heating and cooling companies. Getting multiple detailed HVAC quotes (but not too many) lets you compare the equipment, services, and prices of several contractors without being overwhelmed by options. It can also let you see if one contractor’s prices are much higher or lower than the others and give you a chance to ask for clarification. That way, you can weed out any contractors who aren’t providing quality services or materials and find the company that best meets your budget, quality requirements, and long-term goals.

Professionals can recommend efficient layouts or appliances and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Propane is more cost-efficient than natural gas on a per-unit basis because it produces twice as much heat energy as an equivalent amount of natural gas. But propane is not ideal if you already have a gas line installed. The best choice for your home depends on the efficiency of your appliances and the amount of installation required of your fuel choice.
