However, as long as the tile floor is in good condition, you can install a flooring that fits your vision for the space. 

It’s true: Fido’s claws can scratch up your nice engineered hardwood floors since the top layer is made of exposed hardwood. For this reason, pet owners may want to opt for the more durable laminate flooring options that offer the appearance of hardwood without the vulnerability to scuffs and scratches. If you have mold under your vinyl flooring, it’s recommended that you have it ripped out and start fresh.
