He offered all kinds of great fabric. He helped me. He finished it like it's brand new. He did a great job.

Recovered a loveseat and 8 dining room chairs. Purchased fabric from Robert also. Furniture looks great....also made some beautiful pillows with leftover fabric

Robert did a FANTASTIC job at making a beautiful burl wood couch useable again. The couch is an antique that was very elegant at one time but had horrible fabric and loose joints. Robert strengthened the joints and helped us select fabric that would be appropriate for the couch. He was always responsive to messages and kept us informed of progress. We are thrilled with the quality of his workmanship. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone in need of reupholstering work. You will not be disappointed.

Work went great. Chair is fixed completely and probably better than initially constructed. Fixed it right in my home. Very professional, cleaned up after himself and asked us to inspect his work before sealing up the bottom of the chair.

He reviewed damage and gave us options for the repair. The cushion wasn't easily removed, but Robert seemed to be an old hand at doing this type of work. He took the cushion and some material from the back of the sofa and the next day he came back with the cushion and put everything back together, as well as replacing material taken from the back. He even took the excess material and made a mat to put on top of the cushion, when needed, to stop further damage. We wound up having him take two small tables to refinish, and he's going to repair the lock mechanism in a grandfather clock we've had for years. Robert is professional, punctual, neat, and knows what he's doing. We highly recommend his services.

Mr. Hayden provided excellent service. He is extremely knowledgeable about furniture and his craft. His reupholstery was top quality, and he suggested and provided improvements to the structure of our sofa. He also invented a special covering, using the same material, to protect the part of the sofa our dog likes to stretch out on. We feel that he took a middling piece of furniture and turned it into a very good one that will last many years. We are very satisfied.

Our pieces had amazing lines and a lot of promise, but they were in horrible shape. Robert had to do structural work as well as completely replace the foam and fabric. We love how they turned out and we are using him again to do another couch and a chair. His selection of fabric was better than other places. Also, he is always flexible when making appointments and is incredibly professional. If you want someone with a ton of experience who can take on challenging work, Robert is the upholsterer for you.

Great! He did a very good job. He was very timely. The estimate was quick. Very Punctual with his work. Excellent workmanship.

Very satisfied.  Initially we sent photos of the chair to Robert who then contacted us to confirm he could do the job.  Took the chair to his house and spent an hour or more going through potential fabric selections with his gentle guidance.  Agreed on his proposed manner of placing and attaching cushions and gave him a deposit of $300.  Within two weeks he had the job done and delivered the finished item to our house.  He likes to take a photo of his work where it will reside and did so.
Glad to have found Robert with the aid of Angie's List.  Will recommend him highly to anyone needing his services.

Mr Hayden is great to work with.  I called his business expecting to leave a message on a Sunday but he answered the call.  He came to give me an estimate within in few days. I was happy with the estimate and he took the cushions with him that night. In a weeks time I had the cushions back and he repaired the sofa itself.  I couldn't be happier with the work or Mr Hayden.  My sofa sits and looks like a brand new piece of furniture.  Thank you very much Mr Hayden!

Robert Haven returned my call promptly. We sent him pics of the chairs. We discussed a price and he agreed to bring samples of the material. Or we could pick our own fabric at Joanne fabrics. He came to the house and brought fabrics. He had the perfect color and we agreed on a price. He removed the coushion and back of the chairs. He said they would be finished by December 18. He called yesterday and the chairs were ready to be delivered on December 8. The chairs look fabulous. He did a great job and he was prompt, courteous, and professional!

Robert Hayden was very prompt and professional. 
I have an antique ebony piano chair.  Two of the legs were broken, and all four had separated from the base.  The seat cushion upholstery was torn and frayed. I called Robert on a Monday, and I brought the chair to his workshop the next day.  He provided me with a detailed written estimate for the repair; and he also provided new material for the upholstery.
He told me that he'd be done with the work by the following Friday (10 days), and I left the chair with him that day.  The very next Monday (only 6 days after leaving it with him, INCLUDING the Thanksgiving holiday weekend), Robert called me to tell me that the chair was ready.
I picked it up from him the next day.  The repairs were done professionally, and it looks great!

Robert Hayden returned my call and came to the house promptly. I found his estimate to be very reasonable. He suggested I go to Joanne's fabrics to select something, but when I couldn't find anything on my own he came to the house with samples he had based on what I already had and what I told him I was looking for. One of these samples was perfect. He did an excellent job in a very timely manner. Robert was also very professional and pleasant to work with.

Robert did a wonderful job. He was also punctual and reasonable. I love to refurbish quality furniture. When we relocated to this area last year I was worried about finding an upholsterer who was a true craftsman. I am most happy with Robert's work and will continue to use him in the future
