"John was very responsive with my schedule and patient when I changed some of the details of the job. Evan the installer did a fantastic job with my old, worn oak floor. He had some new flooring that ran perpendicular to my existing floor that he put down, sanded the entire floor (344 square feet) and had everything stained before he left on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning he put down the coats of finish and was done by early afternoon. My wife and I were so pleased with the speed, quality and professionalism of all involved."

"Ross and his team did a fantastic job! I had water damage to my existing basement floor and was in a time crunch to repair. Ross came in for an estimate the day I reached out to him, explained what the issue was and came up with a plan to repair the issue and replace the floor with product appropriate for basement. No subflooring is perfectly level, but you should never ignore any noticeable floor sagging. Most contractors deem a floor that slopes by a 1/2 inch to 1 inch per 20 feet of floor acceptable. Further investigation is required when the slope or sag is more than one and a half inches.

Tile—specifically smaller, mosaic-style tiles—is the best type of flooring for building a walk-in shower base. Shower pans come with a threshold and sidewalls to contain the water, but tile can be set into the shower base. This creates a walk-in shower floor that gently slopes toward the drain to keep water from getting out and into the rest of the bathroom.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.
