    Mr. Loweth did **** of a great job. He was very professional, kept me informed of the progress, consulted me whenever decisions needed to be made, provided valuable advice, and carried out the work in the best possible way. Being a fantastic artist in another life, he had a sharp eye for detecting problems and creative ways for solving them. I found him to be extremely hardworking and he had great work ethics. The awesome part of having him do all these things was that he ended up doing far more than he had promised. I wasn't expecting all the things that he did to make my deck and porch look fantastic. In addition, he even fixed things that he saw needed small repairs without me even asking him to fix them at no extra charge. He paid attention to details and aesthetics. His work was of excellent quality. He is easily the best professional I have employed at my house. I highly recommend him. Super guy!!

    The estimate I received from Perfect Painters was the most detailed I've ever seen. A long list of work items made it clear what was included (powerwashing, scraping, etc.). Ron (the owner) included an extensive list of optional add-on work items (more on that later). He also included a number of letters from satisfied customers. I had specifically asked for an estimate for prepping and painting the trim ($4600), but had expressed interest in having the body painted and some carpentry done as well. The numbers were ultimately reasonable enough that I opted for upgrading the paint to Sherwin-Williams Duration ($28/gallon; $700 total), a second coat on the trim ($1400), painting the body ($3000), replacing some siding ($2700), and painting the windows sashes for some accent color ($135). It was about two months after sending in our deposit that the crew was available to start work on the house. Before that Ron's color expert (I forget his name, unfortunately) helped us choose a combination that made sense (for you owners of Arts and Crafts homes, Bungalow Colors by Robert Schweitzer is immensely useful as well). Jacob and Russ did the majority of the painting on our project, and were accompanied by a couple carpenters that handled the siding and woodwork. Jacob was an excellent foreman with a great attention to detail and quality work. The crew arrived early every day and aside from interruption by weather, stuck to our project every working day until everything was finished. The final result was phenomenal. Calling themselves and quot;perfectand quot; painters is hyperbole, of course, but they did do a thorough job and we get a lot of compliments on the work. The quality of the work at a reasonable price (well below other estimates) means we'd happily hire them again

They did the work free of charge because we had some paint that were peeling off in our porch which they did before so they came and fixed it and nobody was home but they came and did it on their own cord. I like everything about them. They were professional, from the sales guy to the staff to the people working there. Everybody knew what needed to be done and I watched them work and they are very professional. I'm very happy with them. I would definitely use them again

    The guy is Joe Yurschak and he is doing some roofing for me currently. I have an apartment building that has two small roofs that were old, so he ripped off the old ones and put new ones on, as well as some re-shingling on that roof and some of the other roofs. He has also done painting for exterior and interior and tire work. I also have another guy who I use for roofing for apartment building that are very high up and I have one guy who does general carpentry and poach roofs. Everything with them is excellent and if they were terrible I wouldn't still be using them. I think their pricing is very reasonable

I work in N.VA and had seen Jay Hazlewood's work first hand, so I asked him to come to NY to work on my second home in the Finger Lakes area, near Watkins Glen. The house was transformed, and it was so nice to be able to hire one person to do it all. I am so fortunate to have found Ace Home Services. I had just been burned by a roofing company out of the Rochester NY area, who advertised Amish craftsmanship, but provided no craftsmanship of any kind. I hired the roofing company to put a metal roof on this house, and the job was poorly done. The roofer's words: "if you'd wanted the roof-line to be straight, you should have told me." Consequently, after that experience, I appreciated Jay Hazlewood's craftsmanship and professionalism all the more! I absolutely recommend Ace Home Services

    I called for an estimate, and she was here within a week, and received the estimate within a week. I put off signing the contract until July 31, and was told that they had approximately 4 weeks of exterior painting scheduled before me. The weather was humid and rainy all through August. I called early September and was told 2.5 weeks of exterior painting ahead of me. I called early Oct, and was told about 1 week,(still bad weather, either cold or rain). In late October, maybe next week. The following Mon. 2 painters showed up to ask about colors. The next day they were there with the pressure washer, and working by 8:30 a.m. In actuality they had to put a second coat of paint on all the main surfaces. Except for an outside extension cord for the pressure washer, they brought all their own equipment. Two or three men showed up at a time, depending on how much work needed to be done, and the weather predictions. In the early morning they waited for the temperature to rise before they started painting, which often meant they were painting in the sunshine, and the western walls were completed last. They removed and replaced 2 wood piles (complete with concrete block edges). They moved the compost container. They cut down a couple of upstart trees, growing against the garage. They removed and replaced the structure holding the canoe. When I asked about the shed roof (which I had assumed was considered part of the shed, but found out it was a metal roof that needed special paint), that roof was complete within 24 hours. They arranged for the disposal of all the trees at no cost to me. They were friendly, professional, respectful and kept me informed of their plans for the next day. My only complaint was that they never initiated contact to give me updates on the expected start day. My friends and children were sure they were taking advantage of me and putting others before me. But if I counted the good weather days, I figured the estimates of time were very accurate. When the final bill came, it cost 10%less than the estimate because they had anticipated most of the problem areas. They did find one thing that had not been counted on and that was a rotten window frame on the lake side which had to be replaced. They told me to find my own window installer and when he was finished, they would come back to put finishing touches to the paint job, if necessary. In the beginning I was shocked at the price, but upon inquiry found that it was within normal range for professional painters. Afterward, I felt that I had gotten more than my money's worth

    Guys arrived late and were missing a few tools that would have made the job more time efficient. They were polite and hard workers, but business ethic needs improvement ( 2 no shows with no updates, late arrival, no written contract or proof of insurance- other than verbal).     Excellent! Norb was quick to respond to my request and actually visited my house on same day that I requested a quote. I told him I needed it done in 2 weeks and he was able to fit me in - doing most of the work himself. The result was great - professionally done and looks like it has always been there. He brainstormed some issues like moving electrical switches and replacing floor where a vent had been. Price was reasonable. I would recommend Norb for any home project

    The entire experience was very positive. Mike promptly replied to my inquiry on the job, provided a very detailed estimate and reasonable cost for such an intensive job. He helped in choosing the right paint finishes for the historic period of the home. He kept me posted on the start date and, after a few weather delays, the team got started and worked for several weeks to scrape and paint the complicated wood work, porches and dormers. The team was very courteous, attentive and easy to work with. They offered suggestions on a few different challenges, resolved any issues I identified and went above and beyond to ensure ever detail of the house was well-done and complete. They were very neat - moving around furniture and cleaning up everything daily. They even replaced some of the mulch that became displaced during the process. I'd highly recommend Horizon - I hope to have them back this Winter for another interior job

    I left a voicemail with Michael on Monday afternoon regarding a few missing shingles on one side of my house. He returned my call promptly (within a few hours) and offered to come out and assess the roof on Tuesday morning. He arrived on time and gave my wife the estimate. He said he could complete the work Wednesday if we wanted to go ahead with it. I called him Tuesday afternoon to confirm and we discussed what materials I had available for the job and he offered to bring some extra matching shingles he had as well in case I did not have enough on hand to complete the job. He did use some of his own materials, but did not increase the price from his quote. He completed the work on Wednesday morning as promised. <br /> A few of the original shingles which had blown off the south side of my house were stuck in the gutter on the north side of the house. He also cleaned the old shingles out of the gutter on the opposite side of the house from where he was working. While working, he carried a digital camera and took photos of his work to review with my wife and I upon completion. <br /> While working, he also noticed the flashing separating from the chimney and took photos for us. I had not been up on my roof, so I was not aware of the problem, but Michael assessed it realistically and offered me two options for fixing the problem. I plan on hiring him again for this work. <br /> Michael will perform a wide range of repairs (just about anything but plumbing and electrical, he has other contractors he recommends for those services) and I plan to use him as my first call for repairs I have questions on. <br /> Michael's prices are very reasonable and realistic. I called several bigger roofing and construction companies for quotes on this work, and some would have charged me $250 just to go up on my roof, plus time and materials on top of that. Michael competed the whole job for $60 and did a good job. I will be calling him for more work in the future and would happily recommend him to anybody else. <br /
