Jamie was great to work with. He was timely, conscientious, professional, and did a great job with our panel upgrade. I only wish all contractors were as easy and reliable to work with.

My experience with Zappala Electric was simple, effective, and stress free. I was able to get the service scheduled easily and promptly, and really appreciated the efficiency and simplicity of the overall process - not a lot of unnecessary paperwork or overhead charges, which was great!

One of the light fixtures fell from the ceiling and almost hit my head because it turned out it had been put in improperly. Also one of the light switches he fixed was not grounded properly and stopped working right after he repaired it And a little lightbulbs he said would last at least five years went out in less than three months of very light usage.

Great! Jamie was timely and communicative and his work looks great.

The work went extremely well. Initially contacted Zappala Electric for an estimate in Fall 2015 to get an idea of what to budget and finally had the work done early Summer 2016. Both times Jaime was contacted, I received a call back the same day, and both times, I was told he could do the work starting the next day or two. Extremely fast response time, professional communication, easy-going. The work was done as requested (requested higher-end Square-D QO equipment specifically) and was done very neatly and professionally. Would call Zapppala Electric again in the future when needed in a heart beat.

Mr. Zappala arrived on time, every time, both for the quotes and the work. He was professional and thorough, even when dealing with the electric company and getting a bit of a run around from them. We wanted our system upgraded to 200 amps prior to having solar panels installed and Mr Zappala accommodated our time requirements and dealt with the electric company's inspectors. He never left a mess, and always let me know what work he had planned for that day (installation was a couple days and dealing with the inspectors took a couple more visits). All went well and the work is completely satisfactory. (The "cost of service" in listing is for this job.) The second job was installing 2 receptacles in the garage for new door openers we were having installed and another receptacle in the basement. Half our basement is only a creepy crawlspace but he dove in and had everything installed as required. Again all work is satisfactory. Additional Info: June 2017, just short of a year of installing the receptacles, I had problems with the garage doors (see Genson Overhead Doors, Inc. review) and one of the causes was thought to be the socket. Mr Zappala came out right away and looked everything over but could not find anything wrong. He called back the next day and stopped by (fortunately at the same time the garage door guys were here) and together they were able to resolve the issue to everyone's satisfaction. Mr Zappala is conscientious about his work, and stands behind everything he installs. We'd definitely hire him again for our electrical needs.

Jaime Zappala was terrific from start to finish. He responded quickly to my call, did an estimate within days and the job was completed within less than a week for a very reasonable price. Not only fixed the problems I had with my lights but came up with solutions that will save me money in the future. He is a really decent guy and a pleasure to have working in my home. I will definitely use him again and recommend him highly to everyone else.

This is the second time I hired Jaime to perform work in my home. On both occasions, his work was professional and of high quality, he was very helpful in providing advice about how best to handle certain electrical issues, and his charges were entirely reasonable. Certainly, I will hire him for any future electrical work in my home.

Him and his son were extremely professional and polite. Arrived promptly in the morning, worked all day and were very accommodating and flexible. Checked with me and my husband as they hung each fixture to make sure they were exactly where we wanted them to be and were happy with the height of each one. I am very happy with the work and service provided by Zappala Electric, and highly recommend them. Jamie Zappala (the owner) returned my initial call on the same day, visited our house to review the work that same week, and sent his quote for the work two days after I sent him an email with my final list of the work we wanted done. Jamie indicated that the initial project (generator disconnect, exterior lighting, outlets and miscellaneous troubleshooting and repair work) would take a few days. He arrived on the morning of the day he originally promised to start the work and continued until the middle of the following day, when another customer called him with an emergency. He explained the situation and indicated that he would get back to our project as soon as the emergency was resolved, most likely the following afternoon. He returned the following afternoon and continued to work until completing our remaining work.
I mention the other customer's emergency situation, because it speaks to Zappala Electric's responsiveness. A couple of days after Jamie finished the work at our house, we woke up to find we had no water (our water is from an on-site well). Assuming the pump had quit, I phoned Jamie and asked him if he had any experience with well pumps. He indicated he had installed several, so I asked him if he could troubleshoot our system, and by the way, could he do it ASAP. He indicated that he needed to call a customer who was expecting him that morning, but that he probably could make it. He arrived at our house around 10 AM and we had water by the end of the day (the problem was an issue with the wiring near the pump inside the well, but because the system was 25 years old, I decided to replace the pump while it was out of the well). Because of some issues with water pressure related to the existing system, he returned later that week with a plumbing subcontractor, and by the end of the week the system was working better than it had before it quit.

I called Jaime for a few outlets that lost power.  He returned my call on the same day and gave me a few tips about the breaker box and GFCI outlet to see if it will solve my problem.  
Since I still can't fixed it, he scheduled a time fairly soon and showed up on time.  
He is honest, easy to talk to and professional.   He helped fixing the outlets and a few other small tasks I just thought of including a dim-able light and its switch.
I'm a new home owner and wants to learn some basics from him.  He was very nice about me watching him working and told me tips and answered my questions about wiring, static shock, etc.

Jamie was prompt and great at explaining things, offered options for the sink wiring, and was over all very pleasant.  I would absolutely have him back to the house if we had other electrical issues.

We called Jaime to request a quote for wiring and installing a new light fixture in the entryway of our home.  Being an 80 old home with plaster walls and no existing wiring to the location where we wanted the light, we were expecting this to be a complicated job that would require significant cutting into the walls and ceiling to run the wire.  Jaime did an outstanding job with only minimal cutting to the ceiling and no cutting to the wall.  He completed the job in about half a day and was very professional and courteous.  To top if off, Jaime recommended an excellent painter (Kevin Hovanec) who perfectly patched and painted the ceiling.  We are very pleased with the new light and will definitely call Jaime again for any electric needs we may have.

 THE BEST ELECTRICIAN. PERIOD.

We called Jaime to evaluate the wiring in our house, and to obtain a quote for a new electrical outlet in the dining room. Our house was built in the late 1800s and we moved in a few months ago, so we wanted to make sure everything was okay before the winter got started. Jaime was very responsive, and came out to visit within days. During the walkthrough, Jaime was extremely professional, taking the time to explain what he saw, how certain problems may arise, and how I could prevent those problems from occurring. His honestly was comforting and refreshing. He installed the electrical outlet a week later (flawlessly!) at an extremely affordable price. A few weeks later, the power inexplicably went out in a separate part of the house, and I called him in a panic at 7:00 AM - he called back almost instantly. Jaime spent 20 minutes on the phone with me (at 7:00 am!!) walking me through what to check and what to reset, and stayed on the phone until the problem was resolved. THIS IS A GUY YOU CAN RELY ON!!
