"I don't usually write reviews online, but we absolutely LOVE the two bathrooms that Ferrari's did for us so I wanted to share our experience... (and in fact, we are about two do two more bathrooms and will be working with them again!!) I wish we could show you the before and after pictures of both bathrooms because you would not believe the spaces were the same. We have an old colonial house and the bathrooms were beyond atypical... yet, we were able to make them both into amazingly beautiful and functional spaces with the help, vision and talent of everyone at Ferrari's K&B. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional... expectations were set and met, if not exceeded... and they were willing to work with us through the entire process (and I know we are not always easy to work with!).  A few of the trickier things we had to deal with that was "no sweat" with Steve and his amazing staff... 1) we moved the entrance of our powder room to make it more accessible (eliminating steps!); and 2) we created an amazingly functional bathroom from what was a semi-functional-original-to-the-house bathroom with a tub that had maybe 4 feet of head clearance under the roofline, into a gorgeous full guest en-suite bathroom with an amazing full-size shower and sink. So, needless to say... though I will say it over and over... I cannot recommend Ferrari enough. I know others who are not online/on Angies list who are equally as pleased, and I'm sure if you choose Ferrari's Kitchen and Bath, you will be too!!

"While looking for a plumber to inspect and replace a leaking water heater, I found Rapid Repairs.  I called the number, and was directed to send a text message if I needed a emergent response.  After only a few minutes, I got a response in a text message addressing my issue.  They were professional and answered my questions as best he could without being at my house.  I even got estimates based on my answers.  The only reason I did not utilize their service was that I needed hot water immediately, and they were already on multiple service calls, meaning the earliest they could come out would be Monday.
I would definitely use them in the future, I was very happy with the response and appreciated that he was polite and understood that I couldn't wait for them to become available.

"I had a leak under my sink with water pouring out. Also a leaky washer and warm but not hot water in two showers. I called Mark and he was incredibly responsive, set up a time at my convenience. He is a very young guy, but incredibly knowledgeable. You gotta love that Scottish brogue!! My kitchen sink is a great example of what to expect from him, it was simply a hose that needed tightening. He showed me the problem, including how to fix it myself in the future and fixed it in about 2 minutes. With the washer, he told me it was an issue for the manufacturer, which I appreciated. He was able to quickly turn my warm shower into a hot one. I appreciate his honesty and expertise, he was great. He is the one I will call if I need a plumber again."

"Chris and Alan did a great job. I thought my shower drain was clogged but it turned out that the pipes had been installed incorrectly by the previous homeowner so they fixed them and it works perfectly now. They also fixed a slow cold water faucet by unclogging it. They were able to come the same day I called which was a big help. I would recommend them."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Porcelain and enamel sinks have very similar appearances, but they aren’t the same. Porcelain is a ceramic made from natural clay, while enamel is a strong powder that’s glazed over a metal sink. Use a magnet to determine whether you have an enamel or porcelain sink. If a strong magnet sticks to the sink, it’s likely enamel. If it doesn’t, you probably have a porcelain sink. You can also use the model number on the sink (often found on the underside of the bowl) or information from the manufacturer to determine the material.

Yes, you can install a farmhouse sink on an existing countertop—but there are some caveats. You’ll need to precisely measure. It’s best to choose a sink that’s the same dimensions as your existing sink, since your contractor won’t have to cut the countertop. Otherwise, pay close attention to the depth of your counter (the front to back measurement). You don’t want to install something that’s so big it sticks out beyond your countertop and cabinetry.

In many ways they are the same thing, which is a large sink that has a tall front section, often called an apron. This is because the depth of the sink prevents splashing against you, serving the same purpose as an apron. While all farmhouse sinks are apron sinks, not all apron sinks are farmhouse sinks.

Most of the time, you can replace a kitchen sink without replacing the entire counter. However, if you’re replacing a large sink with a smaller sink, you’ll have to fully replace the counter because you’ll have a gap in the sink space area. But if your new sink is bigger than your old sink, your pro can simply cut into your counter to open up space for it.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.
