"Two large concrete steps around my front porch were sinking into the ground. Four years ago, I hired another contractor who jacked up the steps and put concrete blocks under them. After a while the steps sunk again. The owner of Leading Concrete Solutions, Robert, came to take a look at the problem, shared his professional opinion and provided a competitive estimate. He is an honest, hard-working person, and uses amazing technology to do quality work. I hired Leading Concrete Solutions for my project and Robert did a great job. He jacked up the steps, drilled small holes in the concrete, and injected a special foam substance with his machine. The steps are now level and look like they are not going anywhere. I asked for a few extras and he did not leave the site until he was sure that I was completely satisfied with his work. I would hire him again and would also recommend him to other people."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

It restores concrete, prevents replacement cost disruptions, reduces trip hazards, and provides stability at a lower cost.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.
