"I would heartily recommend Spirelli Electric and would not hesitate to use their services at any time again in the future as necessary.  Joe Spirelli was exceptionally punctual, knowledgeable and professional in all phases of the project:  his initial appointment visit to my home to assess my service upgrade requirements, his recommendations of the best solutions, and then the commencement and completion once awarded the job.  He responded quickly with a cost estimate for the job (more than competitive with other estimates obtained) and with answers to all my related followup questions.  Once work was begun on the mutually agreed-upon date, the Spirelli three-man electrician crew arrived punctually at 8:30 a.m. as promised and then worked diligently and amiably to finish the job that afternoon.  During the project execution, Joe again arrived on the scene to oversee the work progress and address any concerns.  Throughout, everyone continued to be most responsive to all questions and comments and, from my perspective, I felt that they neither cut any corners nor took any shortcuts in performing very high-quality work to the agreed-upon specifications.  Upon job completion, they meticulously cleaned the work area, removing all related debris.  Before, during and after the project, Spirelli handled all contacts and paperwork re the ConEd/building code inspection requirements.   The job was executed at exactly the agreed-upon price. "Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
