"It was a pleasure to work with Sergiy on my 3 bathrooms remodeling project. He was up-front about the costs, delivered high quality workmanship, and was easy to communicate with. He and Nick worked meticulously. It turned out my walls were not level. Sergiy took care to even them out with layers of spackle and sanding, so that the corner tiles lined up in a beautiful straight line. I really appreciated this extra effort to make it look right. Sergiy gave me regular updates during the project, and the work was completed 5 days ahead of schedule. I would most definitely work with him on future projects."

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Solvents dissolve tile adhesive, but the right solvent for the job depends on what type of adhesive you are trying to remove. For instance, dispersion adhesive requires stronger removers, like bile soap or even paint stripper, but some adhesives, like cement-based products, can come off with water and soap or mortar remover.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.
