His father, Joe, Jr., formerly an Irvington, NJ, K-9 police officer, started a part-time fencing business with a friend from the force just to earn extra income. However, the business became successful and when he and his partner eventually retired, they went into fencing full-time. Today, over 40 years later, that business (B&M Fencing in Irvington) still thrives, but Joe, Jr., now works with his son at eagle fence. Joe, III, originally started Eagle Fence in Warren, where he was living with his parents after finishing up his studies at Syracuse University in 1985.
