"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

"My initial contact with Leelands was 10 years ago. I really admired the work they had done on my neighbors house. I just couldn't afford slate repair or replacement at the time. The employees were always courteous and patient. Fast forward to May 2018, I had exhausted all the patching my roof could take. I contacted Leelands, Donna promptly scheduled Luke to come out for an estimate. Luke was on time and provided honest feedback. I recieved a Photo Report, Field Condition Report and Proposals a few weeks later. It took me a few more months to decide how to proceed. In October, Leelands sent Gabriel and Miguel to make the repairs. They were prompt, courteous and worked diligently to finish the job. After a rainy 2018, my roof is still leak free."

When a window is painted shut, this means that paint has gotten into the cracks when window sashes or window frames were being painted. It’s pretty easy for this sort of thing to happen while painting, but sometimes homeowners will use paint to seal drafty windows, which will often cause them to get stuck shut.

Matching new paint with an old, faded color can be tricky. First, you’ll need to determine whether the paint on your house is latex-based or oil-based. Lightly scrub an inconspicuous area of your home with rubbing alcohol—if the alcohol scrubs away the paint, it’s latex-based. If not, the paint is oil-based. 

Once you have that settled, bring a paint chip or photo of the color to a paint professional and have them mix you a matching paint in the same base (latex or oil). Then paint another inconspicuous part of your house to see if it’s a match.

The heaviest paint when dry is paint that has a thick pigment and additives like sand or some other aggregate. Oil-based paints can take the longest to dry because of their thicker pigments and higher densities, while water-based paints might be lighter when dry because the weight of the water reduces as it evaporates from the paint.

However, if you’re reducing the glossiness and using a flatter paint, you should sand first to take off some of the sheen. Sanding will also help the next coat of paint stick to the wall better, so it’s a good idea, even if you’re not changing the sheen.
