"Extremely disappointed with the work Woodford Brothers did in my basement. They did waterproofing for me a couple of years ago, and when they dug and re-poured the concrete around the perimeter of my basement, they left the floor with a significant and uneven slope. I didn?t notice how bad it was right away because I?ve been slowly saving up and doing small projects over time to turn the space into a playroom. Once I finally started bringing in professionals to move forward, the issues became impossible to ignore. The slope is so severe that I can?t get flooring installers to lay carpet, and shelving can?t safely sit against the wall without leaning ? which is a serious safety hazard since this room is meant for my two-year-old. I?ve called the company multiple times and was told I?d receive call-backs, but no one follows up. No real solution has been offered, and they?ve shown no willingness to fix the problem. "

Have been successfully completing these inspections and reports since 2019 shortly after the requirement went into effect. Additionally, I provide property assessments (over 25 yrs of licensed Home and Building Inspection experience) as well as being a NYS Certified Code Enforcement Official.

All foundations have footers, including monolithic slabs. In some cases, the foundation itself acts as the footer, as in the case of a floating slab and a monolithic slab. With a monolithic slab, the footers—which are just the bottom-most portion of the foundation that distributes loads down to stable soil—are a part of the main slab and are constructed with a single pour.

If you need to drill into an LVL beam, consult a structural engineer. They’ll know the bit size, depth, and directionality that’s safe to use when drilling.
