Kitchens By Premier

Having installed and ordered numerous kitchens with and through them, each project had a plethora of complications and lacked design details which ultimately cost more to rectify each mistake. My company was asked repeatedly to just take care of it to allow them to save face, but never correcting or compensating for the discrepencies. More concerned with commission than the integrity of the business. We installed kitchens for them and they insisted things outside of the scope of work went through them when unrelated to the kitchen so to charge a mark-up. Even upon sending them a referral of a long time customer, they insisted that the entire project must go through them as a whole which cost the customer thousands more. Too many other kitchen firms in the game to deal with poor ethics.

My wife and I talked with many kitchen remodeling firms and contractors before we decided on Kitchens by Premier.  We stopped by their showroom and luckly talked with Chris who took the time to come out to our house, understand our project, our budget, and what we wanted to accomplish.  Chris worked with my wife through numerous redesigns until we found a happy medium of functionality and form.   We worked within budget to accomplish quite a bit of work, without any major structural changes.  Construction was started on time and moved along fairly quickly with the exception of a week of vacation by the crew that we hadn't expected up front.  The work by the crew was very high quality, including the electrical and plumbing.  We worked together during the installation process to make certain that we hae all of the details exactly as we wanted.  Communication from the design phase, the initial start, and any issues during the process was usually handled in a quick and courteous manner.

We were truly pleased with our experience with Premier.  Chris, our slaesperson always took the time to answer our questions, came out to the house to look at the setup and then added some features which when he sent the drawings to us, we truly loved the ideas he came up with.   Sometimes when you had a question and called into the store the response was ot as quick as dropping an email to your salesperson.  Sometimes we thought that the messages didn't get to Chris or just not as quickly as we thought they should. When emailing the salesperson directly, we always received a reply within the same day.   Our kitchen is complete, and we love it!!
We have had many compliments from friends and neighbors.  I would recommend Premier as a source for kitchen remodels.

Laminate product looks very nice but the stainless sink provided developed stains and discoloration within months of installation. Faucet came loose at the base and had to be tightened by the plumber. He noted that the bottom of the faucet was mounted on pressboard which had gotten wet. Counter top developing ripples around the faucet. Poor product, decent installation. Will not use again.

We just completed a kitchen remodel. The kitchen and dinette areas were gutted to make room for new floors, cabinets, counters and appliances. The design work and cabinetry was performed by Kitchens by Premier. Our designer, Laura was excellent. She listened closely to our needs and then prepared some options for us. While she included traditional options that we saw from other designers, she also prepared a very creative option that met and exceeded all our needs. By going beyond the basics, Laura created a kitchen that is so much more than we ever thought we would have. We now have a kitchen with better functionality and far more counter and storage space
The work was high quality and on time. The contractor worked very closely with us to make sure everything was just the way we wanted it. They did everything everything except the flooring which was done by Harmon Flooring. Laura coordinated the schedule between the kitchen and flooring to make sure everything flowed very smoothly.

They came and took measurements. I was in a rush and didn't expect it to take 3 to 4 weeks to make two small cabinets. It was my fault and I was willing to pay to have the order expedited so it didn't delay the whole project. They wouldn't expedite my order and my project was delayed 3 weeks because of it. When the cabinets came they were 10" too big. They said that they would expedite the replacement cabinets. I got the new cabinets 2 weeks later. I had to live with my house half torn up for 5 additional weeks because Premier took the wrong measurements and wouldn't expedite my order.

The salesman walked us through the showroom picking out fixtures and countertops that would go well with new cabinets he was going to price out for us. We scheduled a time two days later for the salesman to come out and measure our kitchen and block out a section for a new island. The salesman took some measurements and drew some sketches on his graphing paper including the styles and colors we liked. That is when everything came to a halt. He never called us back or emailed us anything. I waited 10 days to hear back before calling. I did not reach our salesman, so I sent him an email asking how things were coming. It is now more than 2 weeks later and I have gotten no responses from anyone at Premier Kitchens. Maybe they assumed we could not afford their services after visiting our house, I have no idea what happened. But as a young couple who has the money and has friends buying houses on a near monthly basis, Premier Kitchens is definitely going to miss out on the chance to do business with anyone we know. Stay away from Kitchens by Premier if you want to get any remodeling done.

This is a big job, probably in excess of $40K when all said and done so creativity in cabinetry was the key. 
When we had their attention - in the shop, email, phone -  Dean and Tommy were great. Seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Really enjoyed the discussions and interactions.  After the discussions or scheduled appointments however it seemed that we had to continue to contact them and request to get things done.  
They are in transition from wholesale to retail it seems and apparently not real skilled at being proactive and responsive.  
The toolset for presenting the cabinet design seems archaic. 3D-ish line-drawings. No color, no virtual walk-throughs, flyovers, lighting affects.  Again more commercial grade that residential.  As the homeowners we were looking for optimal designs and creativity - all explained in advance - best design /approach wins sort of idea.  Hard to imagine the finished product with a line drawing. 
Finally after more than a month of waiting for the final proposal we decided if responsiveness before the sale was bad - during/after would the same or worse.  Time to concentrate on the teams that were more aggressive in pursuing our business.

They designed and equipped out kitchen. The design is fabulous and the cabinets are really high quality. I liked everything about their service. They weren't cheap but they were good. They were very good. I would recommend them and I have. I would name the designer, Tom Arcara. He is not the owner but he is the designer that we worked with. My husband had actually worked with him years ago on another house. That was accidental, but when we saw it was him when we went there we said oh yeah. You get what you pay for, so I give them an A.

Laura was fantastic. I purchased my cabinets, countertop and sink from them and am very pleased. Laura listened to what I was looking for and helped me narrow down choices, gave me all the information I needed to make my choices and was very patient throughout the process. She also gave me recommendations for tile stores when I was having trouble finding the right tile for my backsplash. She answered all my questions and helped me design my ideal kitchen within my budget while coming up with creative solutions to tricky space challenges I had with a small kitchen. Everything came in on time and complete.
