Small jobs welcome

"The owner was easy going and nice to work with on the project. The work was done as scheduled and they met the scheduled time. The companyâ s equipment was right for the job. In a few areas of the driveway, the staining was too embedded to fully remove. The initial communication indicated full restoration. The reality is deep staining of concrete can not be removed. Concrete sealing should be done within a year of installation. We waited too long."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

A pressure washer’s size or power is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). The amount of pressure you need will depend on your project and the material you’re washing, but consumer pressure washers range from 500 to 2,400 PSI. Porous materials like brick and stucco should not be blasted with anything stronger than 1,000 PSI, while you can use a PSI of up to 2,400 to clean a vinyl fence.

If you’re using water pressure above 2,000 PSI, you should wear a full face shield—at 4,000 PSI, a water jet can easily slice through skin. Always wear heavy-duty, waterproof gloves and rubber boots with metatarsal guards. If you’re working with hot water, make sure your gloves are insulated.

Combined with a cleaning agent, pressure washers and power washers are highly effective at removing driveway stains. However, these machines are not gentle, putting your driveway at risk of damage. Instead of renting a power washer yourself, ask a professional pressure washer for a consultation.

Your deck may look or feel fuzzy after pressure washing because the high-pressure spray tears some wood fibers as it removes the outer layer of dead and discolored wood. This fuzzy effect is a normal part of the pressure-washing process and will go away on its own in a few weeks. You can opt to spot-sand your deck if you’d like to remove it more quickly.

Not always. The answer depends on your specific vinyl siding product. While some manufacturers advise against pressure washing, others recommend pressure washing as long as pressure is kept below a certain threshold.
