"These guys did a removal of my old driveway, a complete quality install of my new and expanded driveway, and they did so in a timely manner with perfect results. During the install they were always on time and very friendly and courteous. They even entertained my daughter while they worked and made sure our family left a lasting mark in their finished work before it was too cured to write our name in it. The Grimes family highly recommends this business to anyone who needs a new concrete drive or flatwork project. The did amazing work and came in $800 below any other bid I had."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is advisable to prime a driveway before painting. Primer serves as a preparatory step, promoting better paint adhesion to the surface, enhancing durability, and ensuring a smoother, more even finish. Priming is essential for concrete driveways as they are porous and absorb paint unevenly without proper priming. Skipping this step may result in a less durable and less aesthetically pleasing paint job, requiring more frequent repainting.

If your concrete stains are green in color, it indicates the presence of mold or algae—which you should address right away. If left unattended, mold will spread to other areas throughout the home. However, be careful not to disturb mold on indoor concrete surfaces and work with a local mold remediation specialist for specialized care. Once free from mold and algae, seal your concrete to eliminate pores and gaps.

It takes time for damage to accumulate on garage floors. After years without maintenance, they will show cracks, stains, and moisture damage while collecting layers of dust along the surface.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Yes. You can pressure wash pavers. However, you risk damaging them if you use too much pressure or get too close. Use a PSI of 1,500 and spray the water at least 24 inches away from the surface.
