"I called them and set an appointment for the following day. Guy, the owner, came ontime, was courteous, found and fixed the roof leak, and charged a reasonable service fee. He noticed some work that should be done on the chimneys (2) and made arrangements to come another day to fix them. I was impressed with Guy and his knowledge of home construction and repair. I plan to call him for any future work. Thanks for a job well done."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

A stock tank pool is far cheaper than an in-ground pool. Installing an inground pool costs $55,000 on average, while a stock tank pool costs around $945 to install.

If you put too much baking soda in your pool, your alkalinity will rise. That means you’ll need to take steps to lower your alkalinity. You can either add more water (which will require more chemicals because they’ll be diluted), wait for the alkalinity to lower naturally, or use a chemical like muriatic acid to lower it.

If you’re wondering how to find a leak in an aboveground pool, the process is the same as it is for an in-ground pool. Note that the vinyl liner in aboveground pools is fairly thin, so sharp objects easily puncture it. Additionally, the liner can wear down after constant exposure to pool chemicals, especially when chlorine levels are higher than they should be. For these reasons, small holes in the vinyl liner often cause leaks, but you can easily detect them with the dye test.

Just like a traditional in-ground pool, semi-inground pools can be between three and eight feet deep. Lap pools, for example, are often an average of 4 feet deep, while a traditional pool may have both a shallow and deep end. The depth of your semi-inground pool depends on the liner you purchase, as well as how much excavation you plan to do before the installation.

Yes, a pool with a heater will lose more water. The heater warms the water, which increases the rate of evaporation. To minimize water loss from evaporation, you can install a pool cover and keep the pool covered when it is not in use.
