"He and his team did the job well, in a timely fashion. They were easy to work with too. We recommend him for any Job with these services; sandblasting or dry ice blasting. The price was reasonable too; for the services rendered they were on par with their competition and looking at the end product better quality the others we saw. Well worth the price."

"Alex was quick to return my inquiry for service. We had a ton of stuff we needed done after 3 years of neglect on a 1932 house. My major concerns were the branches that could have potentially fallen onto our roof, garage, car, and sidewalk, and the terrible mess we'd let accumulate in the back "yard" area.
Alex did a thorough tour, with me, of the property, pointing out which branches needed to go, which should be trimmed away from the house, and which bushes and shrubs needed to be controlled. His estimate was exceptionally reasonable, he worked hard and brought good team workers with him. He did everything on our laundry list and we were very pleased!"

"It went very well. The workers were friendly and the work was completed on time and our basement looks terrific. Their attention to detail was outstanding and we're very happy with the final product. The company was also very flexible and knowledgeable and suggested some changes to our original blueprints which helped settle some disagreements about the floor plan between my husband and I."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Sandblasting removes old paint, rust, and grime efficiently, providing a clean surface for refinishing.

If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.
