"Brian quickly contacted us after I called HomeAdvisors for help. That same day he came over to analyze the situation. He said he thought we had a raccoon in our attic and proceeded to find a way to get him out. He set a trap, and the next morning we had a raccoon in the trap. I can't tell you how grateful we were to know that she was caught and we wouldn't have to contend with all the noise she made each evening let alone the damage. It’s very rare to find mice in a bed frame or mattress outside of the most extreme infestation scenarios. That said, your bedroom isn’t off limits for mice if it offers them shelter, food, and warmth. Look for any gaps or openings a mouse could squeeze into, and don’t keep food in your bedroom. 

While you don’t have to fully evacuate your home after a bed bug treatment, you will have to stay out of the treated rooms (or the whole home) for at least four to five hours after treatment. In most cases, you can return to sleeping on your existing mattress and use your existing furniture, but it’s best to confirm this with a bed bug pro.

You can use a homemade spray to kill fleas on a mattress. To make the spray, combine equal parts water and distilled white vinegar. Spray the mixture on the fleas and all over the mattress. Follow this up with a generous sprinkle of salt all over the mattress, and let it sit overnight. Finally, vacuum the mattress to clean up the salt, dead fleas, and flea offspring.

Preventatives include frequent washing of pet bedding, regular vacuuming, flea-preventative applications, and avoiding infested areas.
