"My 17 year old Subzero refrigerator was in need of repair and after calling another repair company that was offering a $99 Angie's List coupon and not getting a return call, I got a recommendation for High End Appliance (Lou was the repairman). They answered all my questions (I had quite a few), scheduled me for the next day, called in the morning as they said they would to give me an appointment time, arrived on time, diagnosed the problem immediately (a new thermostat) and had the problem fixed within 1/2 hour! Everything was perfect & I spent less on the service call than I would have if I had used their competitor's $99 coupon. My contractor husband and I were so impressed with the quality of their work, their honesty & their professionalism, that we will continue to use & refer High End Appliance in the future. You won't be disappointed.

"Tom was a pleasure to deal with. He arrived on time, did a complete walk through and explained the process. I like Toms system of charging by the hour ( $45 per man) rather than an over inflated number guaranteed to protect the contractor. He did not mark up the materials either. He and his crew (which included his son who ran the project) worked diligently, they were punctual and professional. The completed job was a work of art. Tom communicated daily and was always available to answer any questions. From the time I first met Tom I was impressed by his sincerity, knowledge and honesty. I am so thrilled that we are employing Tom for other projects around the house. I truly think considering Tom for your next home project would be a wise decision. Thank you Tom!"

Bidets save you money in the long run by reducing water and toilet paper usage. Using a bidet can slash your toilet paper budget by as much as 64% annually for a savings of $50 per person. Moreover, a standard toilet uses 1.6 gallons of water per flush, while bidets only require 0.17 gallons per use.

All electronics need to be unplugged and turned off during fumigation, and that includes your fridge. Your fridge’s ventilation system may pull in harmful fumigation chemicals if left on. The best thing you can do is aim to eat all of your fresh or frozen foods before fumigation and toss or take with you what you couldn’t eat when the time comes.

Over-the-range microwaves are typically around 17 inches in height and 30 inches in width, but you can find models outside of these sizes as well. However, microwave dimensions vary by style. For example, most countertop microwaves range from 14 to 24 inches in width and 10 to 18 inches in height.

Deciding whether to repair or replace a small appliance depends on its quality, age, and the cost of the repair. It is often more affordable to repair them, with an average repair cost of $150 versus a replacement cost of around $300. If you have a high-quality or top-of-the-line small appliance, it is almost always more cost-effective to repair it. However, a common guideline is to lean toward replacement if the repair cost is more than half the price of a new one. If the appliance is already nearing the end of its useful life, replacement might be the better long-term choice. A professional appliance technician can help you decide by estimating the appliance's remaining lifespan after the repair.

Yes, due to its warm and dark nature, roaches find appliances to be the perfect location to lay eggs. It's for this reason that addressing a cockroach in an appliance should be handled quickly. Once the roach makes a home in an appliance, it's only a matter of time before they nest and begin laying eggs.
