Now have the name of someone who handles all types of home repairs, that does excellent work. I was extremely impressed, that upon walking up to my door, he removed the snow, off the steps. It was devine intervention that days after the storm the president of Homes and Beyond was given the wrong address to provide an estimate for a basement remediatioon job in my Rockaway neighborhood. When he knocked on my door, we struck up a conversation. I showed him my basement. He was reluctant to take a downpayment from me because I had never met him before, had no references for him, and he didn't want to spook me. Nevertheless, I had a good feeling. I gave him a deposit which he said he would not cash until I had checked out a few references. I went to the homes where he was in the process of doing work, made a few calls, and liked what I heard. He did an excellent job on the basement gutting and remediation. I then hired him to do the outdoor repairs from falling trees and to do the one floor (including new base molding, sheetrock, insulation and painting) inside my house that had water damage. He is currently in the process of renovating my basement, which includes walls (framing, sheetrocking and some cement skim-coating) floor, ceiling, insulation, etc. All of his workers must be given some kind of orientation because they are all super considerate, very neat, etc. I have no complaints and would certainly recommend Homes and Beyond.
