The staff was on time, respectful, and cleaned up every day. Even after all these years, there has not been a single crack or problem.

The attention to detail was particularly impressive; the foundation was absolutely square and ready for framing. We felt safe and secure from beginning to end.

I hired Oakland Custom Homes for a full foundation package and signed their proposal after multiple site meetings. They confirmed the start date and reviewed plans with me, so I scheduled excavation and paid for stakeout work based on their commitment. Three days before they were supposed to begin, they abruptly backed out by email with no warning. This caused major delays and real financial impact. Throughout the process, communication became inconsistent, and the reasons they gave afterward didn?t match anything discussed in person. They also never provided a COI or a Suffolk County license number when requested, which was another red flag. In my experience, they were unreliable, disorganized, and did not follow through on the agreement we had in place. For a critical structural scope like a foundation, you need a contractor who is responsive, licensed, and honors commitments. I would be extremely cautious hiring them.
