"Super professional and responsive. Excellent work! I had a few chips on the edge of my quartz countertop. I tried to repair it on my own, but didn’t work. Geo’s Marble & Granite was quick to respond and was able to get it fixed the very next day! It’s seamless. You would never know that there was a chip or work done. Thank you!"

"Met with Michael Cagen of Stonelight Solutions 2 weeks ago to discuss work that needed to be done in my bathroom (grout and repair). He responded to my text within an hour and I found him to be very knowledgeable. The job took 2 days and the end result was amazing. He conferred with me every step of the way. His cleanup was impeccable and his price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use him in the future."

"Eddie was great to work with! We had a limited time frame to adhere to town inspections and Eddie and his team knew exactly what we needed and quickly got the job done. The results were great and even the inspector acknowledged the impressive repair. They were able to put a knocked out garage wall back on the foundation and repair the interior dry wall. I would recommend this company for any professional contract work due to their reasonable price, ease to work with and quality of work."

"Bryan was great. He repaired the hearth on our fireplace which four pieces broke off when I dropped a small statue and it broke and knocked the pieces off the corner of the hearth. Bryan repaired it so beautfully and we cannot see where the repair was done. He also sealed the hearth. By the way Bryan, our wonderful son found another viking, the same one, and brought it to us, soo all is good and back to normal. Thank you. Bruce and Audrey Ericsson"

Customers say: True professional

"Arthur gave us a fair and competitive estimate and was able to start work quickly thereafter. He and his team did an excellent job gutting and totally remodeling two bathrooms and a closet as well as redoing some of the wood flooring, moving vents, and moving hallways. Arthur himself was at the home everyday and did the important work himself. He also went the extra mile in helping us with small projects around the major project as they came up. He was extremely responsive in provided us with timely updates. When complications occurred (due to the house having not been renovated in 40 years) he was clear and helpful in keeping the project on schedule. He was extremely honest and I trusted him to be alone in my house for weeks on end with his team. I would/plan to work with Arthur again in the future for my home renovation projects."

"We had a great experience with Sebastian and his team on our kitchen remodel. They installed the new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink, and helped bring the whole kitchen together. The team was professional, reliable, and paid attention to the details. We?re very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them for any remodeling project."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Engineered stone is nonporous, unlike natural stone, and does not need to be sealed. You do not have to worry about etching or bacterial growth. It is more durable than natural stone and concrete, as well as highly heat resistant. Engineered stone is easy to clean and maintain. You can wipe it down with warm water and soap. Use a non-scratch scrub pad for stains and avoid any harsh cleaners. Engineered stone can even be eco-friendly, with some manufacturers using waste byproducts or organic resins.

Baking soda can damage some countertops, but it makes an excellent mild abrasive for removing stains on other countertops. For example, never use baking soda on quartz or glass countertops, but you can use it on laminate and tile. Stay away from using it on quartz because it can scratch and damage the counter, and glass is prone to scratches. Since baking soda is a mild abrasive, you can only use it on certain surfaces.

Your morning mug of coffee won’t instantly damage your quartz countertop, but it’s still wise to play it safe. While quartz can handle brief heat, repeated exposure can wear down its finish over time. Using a coaster adds a simple layer of protection and helps keep your surface looking fresh.

Professionals use resin fillers, diamond polishing pads, and sealants to restore the surface.

There are three main downsides to quartzite: the cost, the porosity, and the weight. As a natural stone, there’s a level of scarcity that can drive up the price of certain types of quartzite. Even more common varieties are less affordable than synthetic materials like laminate and other natural stones like granite.

You’ll also have to reseal your quartzite countertop annually to combat the natural porosity and reinforce your cabinets to account for the added weight.
