"They were great! I had a ground bees nest and I’m allergic to bees. They came out the very next day and removed the nest. Also checked the house for any other nests without me asking. Super happy with their service!"

"I called John a year ago to clear the mice out of a 20x20 building. The project included removing wall insulation where the mice had lived for 30 years. John gave me a very low quote and worked very hard on removal. When I told him I wasn't totally satisfied, he apologized, admitted the scope of the project was larger than he had anticipated, and came back to fix it. There were no additional charges, and he said his goal was for me to be completely satisfied. He worked until I was happy, came back 2 weeks later to check it all, and called a few times to make sure everything was okay (no extra charge). I called him again this summer when we heard the mice. He spent a long time identifying and remediating possible entry points and setting baits, again for a very reasonable price. I'm so happy to have found a pest control professional with integrity and competence who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I highly recommend Patterson Pest control!"

Animal Removal FAQs, answered by experts

As with anything ingested by animals, there is always a chance that mushrooms will be toxic. Clearing the tops of mushrooms from the soil to prevent them from being eaten by pets is always a good idea. Since poisonous mushrooms can be deadly, we recommended that any mushroom ingestion is treated as a veterinary emergency. Watch for signs of lethargy and digestive distress in any animal suspected to have eaten a mushroom and contact your vet immediately.

The laws in Florida allow residents to kill iguanas on certain public lands and on private lands with landowner permission, even without a permit. Residents are encouraged to kill iguanas, a nonnative reptile seen as a pest throughout the state. Landowners are responsible for removal. Residents are not legally allowed to possess, transport, or relocate iguanas without a permit.

If a wild animal enters your yard, prioritize safety for yourself and the animal. Remember to avoid direct contact and always keep a safe distance. Contact local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation center if the animal is hurt or in distress. Both sources should be able to guide you on how to proceed and send help if needed. Please wait for the animal to leave naturally for non-threatening situations, as many will. To deter future visits, implement measures like securing trash cans, sealing entry points, and removing potential food sources.

Skunks like to forage for grubs in the soil, like worms and insects, but they are also tempted by trash and pet food bowls, so keeping these items out of sight may help keep skunks away. Skunks also like to set up a den in dark places, such as a crawl space or outbuilding.

Regular cleaning, proper food storage, sealing entry points, and professional inspections help prevent infestations.
