He arrived the next morning and diagnosed the problem quickly as a GFI electrical failure failure suggesting that we try this first as th the least expensive way to start. "The project manager Dana was a joke, all she was worried about was getting the 57K once she had that she could care less what went on. I would not agree to pay all upfront- 50% and 50% on completion or they will do a poor job. They broke our fence and have not repaired it- it was a new fence and they hit it in 2 places in one area they bent the pole- nothing was even said about the damage until I brought it up- we were double charged for the concrete and when I asked for documentation they could not seem to produce it or even answer my concerns. We held back $500 because of the damage and threated not to complete the pool closing or give us the cover- which is valued at a lot more. Again 57K is in their pocket already-$500 does not really seem like much at all. They left a mess in the back yard and in our garage, the pool is not level it rides up on one side. I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE. FInd another pool company these guy are really bad."

Using bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts, or moisturizing products that contain butters or oils can damage your jetted tub. Because of the water pump and jet mechanism, you need to be more selective with products for a jetted tub than you would for a traditional bathtub in order to keep it functioning properly and avoid expensive repairs. These products also leave residue that can feed mildew and mold, so it’s best to avoid them.

It’s less expensive to leave your hot tub on all the time, though you’ll want to keep it at a reduced temperature. How much you use the hot tub is also a factor. You’ll want to keep it at a constant temperature between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for weekly or daily use, then bump it up right before you get in. If you don’t plan to use your hot tub that often, you can turn it off as long as there’s no risk of freezing.  

You can drain a hot tub very quickly by using a submersible pump rather than the hose-sized drain at the bottom exterior of the tub. A pump can move up to 30 gallons per minute, draining your hot tub in no time. Using the regular drain can take up to two hours.

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

The cost to repair a hot tub or spa ranges from about $170 to $550, depending on the repairs needed. Some of the most common hot tub repairs include leaks, clogged filters, and tripped GFCI breakers. If it’s an electrical problem, you should contact a professional hot tub repair service. Don’t DIY electrical repairs on a hot tub, as poorly repaired wiring can make the hot tub a serious electrocution hazard.
