"I didnâ t realize how much more was involved than simply replacing the kitchen cabinet doors. Lou and Gip were meticulous in their work, uses quality material, and were always immediately responsive whenever I had a question. Strongly recommend!"

"Service technician arrived on time and explained the process. He hung plastic and taped to protect the cermic tile.  It took a few hours but no problems.  Tub was in pretty bad shape but he explained what he was able to do and unable to do with the worst of it.  It actually looks 100% better - bright and shiny.  The small amount of pitting is hardly noticeable.  He cleaned up after himself but explained that we had to wait awhile to untape.  He also explained about what to use and not use to clean it.  Have had no problems at all with keeping the finish clean and shiny.  I am very pleased with the results.

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

Most assemblies take 1-3 hours, but larger units or those requiring wall mounting may take longer.

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

Yes, there are some options for pre-built inset cabinets—and RTA ones, too—but the selection can be somewhat limited. Many homeowners who decide on inset cabinets choose to have them custom made.

There are three primary ways to attach upper kitchen cabinets to a wall, and installers may use more than one method at a time. The most common method is to drive screws through the back of the cabinets and into studs in the wall behind. Sometimes cabinets are glued to the wall with strong adhesive. Often a combination of screws and adhesive is desirable. The last way is by hanging the cabinets on hardware brackets that attach to the wall before cabinet installation.
